Recently spent 3 weeks touring Zambia, Botswana, and Namibia in the Southwest part of Africa and the highlight of this trip was Etosha National Park in Namibia. At the end of the dry season we saw so many animals at the watering holes, each day was filled with lions, elephants, zebras, and the rare black rhino. A hidden gem for sure. Namibia is a beautiful and diverse country and remains very affordable. Special thanks to Nick and Nature Travel Namibia for a great trip. We spent over a year planning this Africa Safari for 8 people, all of our emails, which were many, were answered completely and in a timely manner. Personal care was taken with each and every detail including celebrating several birthdays and an anniversary. I recommend this tour company highly and will use them again in the future for any tours in this part of Africa. A 5 star company for sure.

My wife and I recently went to Namibia on a guided, nature-oriented road-trip/safari. I had high expectations, but I wasnt prepared to be overwhelmed by the astonishing beauty and variety of Namibias myriad landscapes and wildlife. Nick Buys, of Nature Travel Namibia, was our guide you would be hard-pressed to find a more passionate ambassador for Namibia, its people and its wildlife than Nick. Thanks to Nicks expert eyes and ears we were able to see 350 species of birds and over 50 species of mammals. We visited the Spreetshoogte Pass in the interior highlands, the Namib Desert, the charming seaside towns of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, the Skeleton Coast, the Erongo Mountains, the utterly fantastic Etosha National Park with its wonderful waterholes, and the mighty Okavango and Zambezi rivers in the Caprivi region. I cannot emphasize enough how magical and captivating Namibia is, and if youre looking to do a guided trip there, Nick Buys gets our enthusiastic recommendation.

In a fantastic trip around Namibia (and a bit of Botswana), Nick was able to show us the best of the nature of that part of the world. Despite our many requests (animals of all kinds, plants, rocks) he organized the trip so that we could see almost everything. Indefatigable and attentive at all times to our needs. A pleasure to travel with him. Hopefully we can repeat many times. By the way, we saw five aardvarks and six aardwolves along our night drives...
We thoroughly enjoyed our almost 3 week trip through Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. Nick put together for us a well paced itinerary that took in some amazing experiences and sights. A visit to the Namib desert and Etosha is recommended to all. The accommodation was also well chosen for the locations, comfort and food Big thanks to Jakes for looking after us and sharing his enormous knowledge of the flora, fauna and people.
This safari was excellent in every respect. Our guide, Nick, began by asking us about our main goals for the trip. Nick, a Namibian vet, has a vast knowledge of birds and wildlife, as well as the flora, of the region, and beyond. He was generous in sharing that knowledge, never tiring of answering questions. It was a pleasure to have Nick as our guide. The lodges chosen by Nature Travel Namibia (NTN) were situated on three great African rivers: the Zambezi, the Kwando, and the Okavango. Accommodations were comfortable with gorgeous views and the food was good. The safari was well-planned by NTN, with every detail thought of in advance. There was a nice balance of intensive birding and relaxation during the hot hours of the day if we so chose. Otherwise, it was out for more birding in the bush or garden, or out on the river. The variety and numbers of birds we saw, including 'specials', was unsurpassed. We loved this safari and would highly recommend NTN to any traveller interested in nature and in this wondrous area of the world. Additional Note: Two parks not in the checklist below that we also visited are: Bwabwata National Park and Mahango Game Reserve.
Three of us spent two weeks traveling over Namibia, Botswana and ending in Vic Falls. Esmari put together a tailored-made programme with stays in the most iconic places from the Namib Desert, Naukluft Park, Swakopmund to Etosha, the Caprivi strip, the Okavango Delta and Chobe and ending in Victoria Falls. We loved her readiness to address our specific requests. The combination of landscapes, colors, wildlife and people was simply stunning. We had a great guide, Lucky Gaoeb who drove us around and helped us discover nature and the countries. Super professional and passionate about his country. He knows every animal and plant! Namib Desert is a must do, keep enough time to discover it and walk around. For wildlife, Etosha Park is a must but if you have time also visit Mahangu reserve were you will have a closeness to wildlife. You cannot miss the Okavango delta, and if you can do a helicopter ride to get an aerial view of this immensity of water. All lodges selected by Nature Travel were excellent. Particularly nice were the Gondwana Namib Desert Resort in Sesriem and Musharra Lodge in Etosha. All and all, highly recommendable! Do visit Namibia ????
NTN are the best - Nicks attention to detail / knowledge whilst booking a tailor-made itinerary for friends meeting up from different sides of the globe was superb, answering many silly questions before finally booking! We were lucky enough to have Kit as our guide, he is great company and a friend, he knew exactly where to find animals, and has a great knowledge and taste in wine - ALWAYS let him choose the tipple at dinner..!! Very efficient at checking us into all of our accommodation too - NTN use superior lodges and bases, all of whom deserve a 5 star review (and will be getting) Wish I could give a 10 star review!! Can't wait for the next trip!!
We traveled in Namibia, Botswana and Zambia on a birding safari. Everything was excellent - the birding, game drives, lodges. Our guide Nick is a real pro. He is organized and knows this area well. Everything was well planned and executed. We had tons of birds and animals, very nice lodges, great travel through the area and coffee as required.
NTN were total professionals. Their suggestions for lodges in Kalahari and Okavango were exactly what we wanted and the small flights around the area went off like clockwork. The whole trip will stay in our memory forever. Deception Valley Lodge is stunning. Guides Wynand and Coco gave us a real insight into their beautiful reserve and to see two young lions on the airstrip, just feet away from the jeep, was the highlight of the trip. The food at the lodge is amazing and the service second to none. Delta Camp in Okavango was different but you must go!! With hippos and crocodiles on the banks, the mokoro trips are simply a totally unique was of seeing Africa. Our guide, Knowledge, was a total star and the whole team at Delta looked after us so well. We can recommend NTN for your next safari with hesitation!!
From start to finish Nature Travel Namibia were fantastic, and we had an amazing holiday. As a family holiday with 2 young children, we had specific requirements, which were well thought out as NTN proposed an interesting age appropriate itinerary which would be enjoyable for all of us. We stayed at several different hotels / guest houses which were again, thought of with our children in mind, and each place added something to the enjoyment of travelling around the beautiful country. The suggestions of places to visit and added excursions were brilliant and again just added to the fabulous holiday, we spent several days in game reserves and seeing all the animals was a truly magical experience for all of us, not just the children!! The specifics of the tour such as the vehicle hire, accommodations and pre booked extras / excursions came in voucher form which we were given on arrival at Windhoek, along with maps and driving instructions for each leg of the trip. Every individual aspect ran smoothly and everything we booked was ready and waiting for us as and when we arrived, this was fantastic as we didnt need to worry and we knew that NTN had very professionally sorted everything ready for us prior to our trip. Communication was excellent with revising and finalising our itinerary and we were so pleased about our holiday that we have just contacted NTN again about organising our next trip, and we will be repeat customers. We could not fault Nature Travel Namibia in any way, and would highly recommend! An excellent, professional and very knowledgeable company!
