Amazing Kilimanjaro trek over Lemosho Route

Views: 30 Visited: Oct 2018 Reviewed: May 17, 2019

The Kilimanjaro National Park is an amazing place and a great adventure. The moment we reached the top was much more impressive than we have thought and we will probably never forget this unique view in the early morning sunrise. read more

100% absolutely loved climbing Kilimanjaro

Views: 54 Visited: Dec 2018 Reviewed: Apr 02, 2019

If you are looking to climb Mt Kilimanjaro or go on Safari in Africa I enthusiastically recommend Mgalaa Expeditions.

We climbed the mountain in 8 days via the Lemosho & Western Breach Route and then down the Mweka Route. This route allows you to see both sides of the mountain & not have to double back at all, you camp at crater camp so you summit still feeling fresh after a short climb in the morning. We had a small group of 7 American cli... read more

Exactly what I was looking for in my African adventures!

Views: 170 Visited: Oct 2017 Reviewed: Dec 06, 2018

I summited Kilimanjaro with several friends and we used Mgalaa Expeditions (8 day Lemosho ) and it was the smartest decision we could've made. It was very important to us to use a local company to keep money flowing into the local economy. The upside to going local is that you're going to get the best advice from people who live it 2/10/365. I threw numerous questions at Nema throughout the planning stage and he got back with me in a timely fa... read more

Great team!!

Views: 136 Visited: Oct 2018 Reviewed: Oct 26, 2018

My trek, as a whole, was very-well prepared and perfectly organized. The mere fact that I had not one serious problem on such a long journey is amazing ! My operator proposed the Lemosho route 8 days and it was the best for a non-hiker like me!!

At every step of the climb the experienced guide and porters of Bantu Pori made us feel completely safe and comfortable in otherwise extreme conditions. I would recommend this trip to anyone, but be... read more

7 day Lemosho Route: a rewarding experience.

Views: 247 Visited: Jul 2018 Reviewed: Jul 19, 2018

My husband and I did the 7 day Lemosho route with Jiwe Adventures. On day 2 I was ready to give up but the team proved to be an amazing support system and we wouldn't have reached the summit without them! The route and whole logistics were really well thought out and everything possible was done to make this experience as comfortable as can be expected. If you go, ask for Peter and Godluck as guides, both were amazing. Peter was telling me sto... read more

My safari of dreams

Views: 255 Visited: Feb 2017 Reviewed: Apr 05, 2017

My safari with Regional Tours and Safaris in Tanzania was the best trip I have ever taken in my life, and I have traveled a lot. Maturaf and his team helped us every step of the way. We changed our itinerary some times and the team made that very easy for us to do, allowing us to customize the trip to our liking. Regional Tours & Safaris Tanzania was focused and professional from the moment we landed. They were waiting for us on time and made ... read more

Machame Route

I would never tell someone that they shouldn't climb Mt-Kilimanjaro. If you want to make it easy, take 7 days on a route and you will make it to the top with no problem.
I reached Uhuru Peak at 10a.m. using the Machame route on a 7 day trek with 5 of my friends. Here are some pointers that would probably help you plan a trek

1. Be prepared for any type of weather. Like ANY!! Carry all your wet weather, cold weather, hot weather...basicall... read more

Marangu Route

Views: 387 Visited: Oct 2016 Reviewed: Jul 11, 2016

The Marangu Route climb is often done in five or six days. The Marangu Route is sometimes called the Coca Cola route because it is an easier, and popular, option of the many routes. You will come across many scenic views, rain forest, semi-desert and the Moundi Crater. read more

Lemosho route - 7 days

Enosa Expeditions provided everything for me, including airport transfers, accommodation (a very nice hotel called Park View Hotel, located in Moshi town), camping facilities and all staff in mountain.

I climb Mount Kilimanjaro through Lemosho route for 7 days and my guide "Benson" made everything to reach the Summit of Mount Kilimanjaro!

I've travelled alone, but Enosa includes me in a very friendly group.

Touching the stars on top of the Kili

Views: 589 Visited: Feb 2009 Reviewed: Jun 03, 2014

Kilimanjaro was one of my best experience in life. While traveling to Tanzania with friends we decided we could not miss Kilimanjaro. We were young and unconscious as we had not prepared for the trip and were not equipped. You can rent equipment on site, but we decided we could do without sticks or head lights! We had a team of cook and carriers. We took the easy route and opted to sleep in hut made for four. The first step was quite interesti... read more

Awesome Kili trek

Views: 602 Visited: Dec 2013 Reviewed: May 27, 2014

My husband, brother and I did the trek up Kilimanjaro last December. We had a great time! Kilimanjaro has such diverse ecosystems at every stage of the mountain, so bring many layers of clothes. I was amazed by the number of different trees and plants you will never see anywhere else. Day-to-day climbing was fun with snacks and tasty meals provided in between. The cabins were surprisingly comfortable with mattresses and bunk beds. We had all t... read more

Put on your climbing gear

Views: 494 Visited: Oct 2007 Reviewed: Mar 07, 2014

If you are on an African safari that calls for challenge, then the place to be is Kilimanjaro NP. A real mountaineering experience takes about eight days to the Uhuru peak, which is the highest summit on the continent, but am not so sure whether or not I can make it there!

This was a kind of picnic to stretch out muscles and it turned out to be so great. For two days in the woods and increasing heights and abruptly changing temperatures wa... read more

Climbing Kilimanjaro: Rongai Route

Views: 643 Visited: Jan 2013 Reviewed: Feb 19, 2014

A few of us were lucky enough to have the opportunity to climb Kilimanjaro in conjunction with an African safari. Due to our schedules, we had to do the climb after our safari, which I thought would be the wiser option, as we'd have time to get over jetlag. However, safaris are tiring events unto themselves and I was pretty tired at the end. We ended up needing an extra day to summit, but it was worth it as we made it.
The route was pretty c... read more

My one regret about Kilimanjaro

Views: 858 Visited: Sep 2006 Reviewed: Jan 22, 2014

The Kilimanjaro National Park’s biggest attraction is, without a doubt, the mountain itself. Most hikers and climbers can’t wait to get to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. They spend their nights carbo-loading, planning routes, packing gear. They hardly sleep for excitement and anticipation.

But there is much more to the park than reaching the top – or summiting. Many people don’t know that there are 5 distinct ecological zones that form a be... read more

Dont think about it , Just do it !

Views: 578 Visited: Mar 2008 Reviewed: May 25, 2013

Located in Tanzania, Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa. A wonder, too tempting to resist for the adventurous kind. A tempting of fate, an undertaking few people have conquered . And here we were a team of 5 individuals, it was past the 2007 election violence in Kenya and we were here to climb for peace. There was no looking back, our climb was to convey a message of togetherness, unity, hope and most of all endurance. Endurance of... read more
