Safari Vehicles We operate our safaris using 4x4 Toyota Land Cruiser safari vehicles, specially designed for comfort, safety, and excellent wildlife viewing. Minivans are available for airport and other transfers. Our safari vehicles are equipped with long-range VHF radios for communication within the parks and conservancies. For added safety and reliability, each vehicle has speed governors and two spare tires. Our vehicles provide comfortable window seats, plenty of legroom, and excellent visibility. The specially designed pop-up roofs allow you to enjoy unobstructed views and photography while on game drives. Our experienced driver-guides use their knowledge and communication with other safari vehicles to help locate wildlife and maximize your game-viewing opportunities. 15-day Kenya-Tanzania Safari
We completed a 15-day Kenya-Tanzania Safari in August, 2015.
After witnessing the Great Migration in Masai Mara on Day 2 of the safari, it was easy to think it couldnt possibly get any better. But it did
repeatedly.
This was our second safari with KETS, so we had the highest expectations and werent disappointed. In Tanzania, we followed the northern circuit: Serenageti (Western Corridor and Seronera), Olduvai Gorge, Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Manyara. We returned to Kenya via Amboseli, then spent the final 5-days in Tsavo East, at Bigi camp on the Galana River. For elephant lovers who enjoy being in the middle of remote wilderness, Bigi Camp is for you.
A few highlights: spent 2-nights at Sarova Mara. The buffet alone would make this a destination, but add Masai Mara and brace yourself for stellar experiences. In the Serengeti, we stayed at Mbalageti Lodge. The sweeping views across the plains of Serengeti are unbeatable. A lion spent the night under our cabin, and its low rumblings kept waking us up
but we didnt complain! At the Bigi Camp, we loved observing tuskers wandering around the tents. As vegetarians, we were pleased to see that most of the buffets at the lodges we stayed were free of animal products.

Completed an 8-day safari with KETS. Passed 4-days in Tsavo East at the Sheldrick Orphanage in Ithumba, and 4-days in Tsavo West at Kilaguni Serena. Wonderful experiences and loved our driver/guide, Lucky.

This was the 3rd time that we used KETS for a safari in Kenya and Tanzania. KETS has some of the best driver/guides in the business. Our drivers were very skilled at getting us up close to the wildlife and they jockeyed us around to position us to take the best photos ever. We were so pleased with all of our drivers. They also were knowledgable about the animals and their behavior and eagerly shared the information with us.
We let Paul plan our safari and we were very happy with the accommodations that he chose. We just let him know how long we would be there and he did the rest. It was really comforting to have a trusted driver waiting to pick us up late at night at the airport in Nairobi. On our last day, Paul easily and efficiently adjusted our schedule so that we didn't have to wait for hours in the airport.
A trip to Kenya wouldn't be complete without seeing the Big 5, and KETS did not disappoint us, as we had multiple sightings of these magnificent animals. In fact, we had the best sighting of a leopard that we have ever had. We even witnessed our first hunt and kill by a coalition of cheetahs.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Kenya Expresso from start to finish! From the very first contact 6 months ago, Paul, Faith and the team were highly knowledgable, flexible, listened to our requirements and provided fabulous options at an honest price. They were also kind, responsive and patient with us and we ended up booking an amazing tailored trip. Then at very short notice ( a matter of weeks), due to a family event we had to move our trip forward, they managed it and again were kind and patient and reassuring. We arrived and met Paul ( we were lucky to have Paul the MD as our guide for the safari part) and our trip of a lifetime started. Paul is highly knowledgable about the country and also animals, knows where to spot them, is well known by others at the park and we ended up seeing far more animals than we could have ever hoped for, all the big 5 and so much more. We did Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Ol Peljeta and Samburu and also saw many baby animals, animals on honeymoon and animals eating their catch so a full circle of life. The vehicle was great and the tented camps were also fabulous, great locations and staff, great comfort and food including gluten free options. We also enjoyed our visits to a Masai village and a Samburu village, great learnings for our teenage children. We then took the train to Mombasa and spent a few days at Diani beach which was very relaxing and beautiful and our drivers on those trips Jackson and Julius were friendly and knowledgeable. The true highlights of the tour were seeing all the animals and our chats with Paul, the 4 of us agreed this is our best family trip ever, the adventure of a lifetime and we already can’t wait to go again one day. So if you are thinking of booking a safari trip to Kenya or a number of other countries, then honestly look no further, Paul and Faith can organise the perfect trio for you. This was my second safari with Kenya Expresso Tours. I went on my first safari in Kenya with them in 2022 and I had such a great experience that first time that I returned this year (in 2024) for a second safari with them. I've decided that I'm going to make it an annual tradition to go on a Kenyan Safari with them every year. Their safaris will left you blown away...
Paul, our guide, is great. He's so attentive and he tailors the safari to my needs and tastes. The lounges have always been great. I've done other safaris in South Africa and Namibia with other tour companies, but Kenya Express Tours in Kenya have been the best thus far. I'm already looking forward to next year's safari with them, which will be my third.

We always use KETS when visiting our Sheldrick elephant orphans. KETS provides reliable service to Sheldrick Centers at Umani, Ithumba, Nairobi, and Voi. As we need to bring our own food, the driver helps us shop at the Emali food stalls.
Paul Mwendwa, KETS owner, is a trustworthy and honorable gentleman. He always provides a competitive quote. We highly recommend KETS, especially for Sheldrick patrons.

Could not recommend this more. I was overwhelmed by the choice of operators and was recommended Paul by a friend - it completely surpassed all our expectations. All communication before, during and after was prompt. Our guide was an absolute pleasure to hang out with all day, he made sure the only thing we had to worry about was having a good time. The accommodation was great and most importantly we had so many incredible encounters with the animals. Worth every penny.

Have used KET Safaris 3 different times dating back to 2016. Always had great experiences with communication prior to the trip and the trip itself. Have seen the big 5 on several occasions, the lodging has been great, and KET has been willing and helpful in customizing parts of a journey or helpful in booking ancillary services (ie a train ticket).

This review is long overdue but hopefully better late than never! My husband and I did an 8-day safari with KETS and we loved every minute of it. Our guide was Paul and he was wonderful. The booking process was so easy and we were able to customize our itinerary exactly how we wanted it. Paul was great about answering all our questions and was always very quick to respond. On safari, Paul was very knowledgeable about every location we went to and knew the best spots for wildlife. He was very patient with all our questions and requests. Thank you Paul for the trip of a lifetime! We will definitely be back, hopefully next time with the kids!
