Pass through the town of Fort Portal and the Crater Lakes region on your way to the Kibale Forest National Park, where you will have the opportunity to track a number of primates, including intelligent and energetic chimpanzees. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains on the way to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, and be intrigued by the local culture and agile tree-climbing lions. Continue your journey to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for the opportunity to track the majestic and endangered mountain gorillas
DAY ONE: Arrival in Entebbe Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be picked by your driver who will transfer you to hotel accommodation for refreshment and overnight stay. Dinner and overnight stay Airport guest house. DAY TWO: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park After an early morning breakfast, we depart to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park, which is about 450 kilometers west of Kampala. We make stopovers at the equator for the water experiment, toilet break, picture taking and crafts shopping, then continue to Mbarara for lunch and later proceed on thorough the beautiful evergreen mountainous country-side, referred to as the “Little Switzerland of Africa”, arriving at Bwindi in the evening and check-in to the service of Rushaga Gorilla Lodge for dinner and overnight. DAY THREE: Gorilla Trekking Experience After an early morning breakfast, with our packed lunch, we go to the Park offices for the briefing at around 8:00am and later start the trekking entering the forest, the natural habitat of the gorillas. Your gorilla trekking adventure has just begun. It may take 3-8 hours under muddy and strenuous conditions, sometimes with rain overhead. But all these conditions cease to be a challenge the moment you come face to face with the amazing mountain gorilla. The feeling is one unlike any other felt before. Dinner and overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Camp. DAY FOUR:Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park After breakfast, with our packed lunch, we check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We enter the park through the Ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions, we do a mini game drive as we proceed on to the northern sector of the park. We arrive in the park and check into Twin Lakes safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. DAY FIVE: Morning game drive and Boat Cruise After breakfast, we will have a morning game drive for yet another view of wildlife. Return to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, we will go on a game drive to the Ishasha plains for the resident tree climbing lions plus a diversity of wildlife. The landscape in this sector is unique compared to that in other parts of Queen Elizabeth national park. It’s breathtaking seeing these lions lazily resting on tree branches targeting their prey. L Return to the lodge for lunch relax and later in the afternoon go for the boat cruise on Kazinga channel for yet another spectacular Bird watching and wildlife viewing at a close range. we come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight. DAY SIX: Transfer to Kibale National Park Depart Queen Elizabeth National Park after an early breakfast and head for Kibale National Park with lunch enroute. This drive can take you about 10 hours but it mostly depends on nature of the road but you need not worry there will be plenty of stop-overs to take in beautiful views and also interaction with the communities leaving along the roads. On arrival at Kibale Forest, we shall check into Isunga lodge for dinner and night stay. DAY SEVEN: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi walk Start the day with some sensational chimpanzee tracking in the heart of the Kibale Forest. The reserve boasts the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa, providing sightings of wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys and the black-and-white colobus monkeys on your guided nature walk. After a hearty lunch, transfer to Bigodi to visit a local community initiative - the Bigodi Wetland Walk. Be on the lookout for primates and the rare great blue turaco, one of the 138 bird species found in the swamp area. DAY EIGHT: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park You will depart Kibale National Park after an early breakfast then head to Murchison falls national park. The highlights of this park include; the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely you will be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts 450 bird species including the elusive shoebill stork. We later proceed on entering the park through Kichombanyobo gate and visit the magnificent falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile, being forced into a seven-meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades that can be viewed at different points. Dinner and overnight stay at Fort Murchison lodge. DAY NINE: Go for morning game and launch trip to the bottom of the falls. After an early breakfast; tour the Northern section of Murchison with a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs and lions, the leopards (if you are lucky) plus a variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation for lunch as you prepare to have a launch trip to the base of the falls. This trip is said to be the highlight of the safari in Murchison falls since it allows you to get up close to the animal species within the water. In the afternoon, you will embark on a three-hour launch trip to the base of the Murchison Falls. Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles, bathing buffalo, and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. You will have an opportunity to take thousands of pictures, so carry your camera with you if you like. Dinner and overnight stay at Fort Murchison lodge. DAY TEN: Departure After a morning breakfast, we transfer to Kampala with lunch enroute for your flight home INCLUDES Vehicle, Transport in 4X4 Vehicle English speaking Guide/ driver Fuel Park Entrance fees Accommodation All meals as indicated in the itinerary Bottled water Rangers in the parks .
