The soda lake, Lake Natron, lies below the active volcano “Ol Doinyo Lengai”, translated from Maasai means “Mountain of God”. The lake with its hyper-alkaline water is one of East Africa’s primary nursing grounds for more than 2.5 million lesser flamingos.

Pick Up from The Airport
We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Tulia Spa & Boutique. A city sightseeing tour comes as part of the excursion for day 1. The city excursion will involve visiting the local markets, Maasai market, cultural heritage and Arusha city museum.

“After breakfast, we will pick you up from your lodge and travel to Lake Natron along the Rift Valley Escarpment through Maasai land. Along the way, enjoy views of Ol Doinyo Lengai before reaching Ngare Sero village. Start early and journey north as the road climbs through winding hills, with final views of Lake Natron before continuing via Wasso to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy another game drive in Serengeti National Park before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, separated from Serengeti in 1959. The Maasai were relocated here and still live in harmony with wildlife. Ngorongoro covers 8,292 sq km and features diverse landscapes with nine craters. After breakfast, drive along the crater rim to Seneto Gate and descend into the Crater for impressive views and game viewing. In the southwest of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area lies Lake Eyasi, a soda lake fed by the Sibiti and Baray Rivers. The area is home to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities, who still practice traditional hunting-gathering and pastoral lifestyles. Visit their villages to experience local culture, traditional dances, bead making, and hunting activities. In the evening, drive to Arusha for your overnight stay. Airport drop-off can be arranged after the tour or the following day.
