Leken Adventure was a perfect choice for us to take a 4 days short camping safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We were picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and although our plane was late by about one hour, the transfer was right there waiting for us and took us to our hotel explaining all info for the next day departure. During the safari they took care of everything, our jeep was very good for 4 of us, the basic tent accommodation was just as we expected, food was really good served by our own cook and our driver/guide Raymond - was really the best !! Driving safely, explaining all related information, and trying to search for the best possible ways to see the wildlife. Thanks to him, we had very special moments seeing animals from as close as possible always in the right place at the right time. They were also very helpful at the time we organized our safari offering flexible solution just to meet our needs fitted to our budget. Overall, we had a wonderful trip with Leken Adventure, the whole safari was simply perfect and we would highly recommend them to everyones who wants to have the same unbelievable experience.
Of all the tour companies we contacted, Leken Adventures was by far the most responsive. They understood what we wanted and tailored the safari perfectly to us. Questions and changes were dealt with in a timely fashion and we headed to Tanzania very confident in the arrangements. On arrival we were not disappointed, and as soon as the safari started we knew we had made the correct choice. Our guide (Fred) was a perfect match for us and the 12 days we spent in the bush with him were a dream. There was never the feeling of being rushed through anything, we could stop and observe the animals and birds at will, with Fred filling it in with his years of knowledge of the wildlife. All of the accommodations were well located in or near the parks and were almost too nice. I only wish we had had more time over all, and that was after 12 days! There is some much to see and experience in Tanzania and we just scratched the surface, but even that would not have been possible without the excellent services provided by Leken Adventure.
This is my second time having safari tour in Africa and I actually had a bad experience with my last safari tour in July 2018 due to poor arrangements. I lost some confidence with booking safari tours in Africa but Leken Adventures nailed it. 1. They are responsive to emails. Answering all your questions with detailed explanation **highly recommended especially if it's your first safari experience. 2. Our guide Ayub was professional and informative. Although we spent only 7 days together but he gave us a reliable feeling with his honest and humble personalities. And a big plus point that Ayub is a true environmentalist, he takes care of the recyclable/reusable waste like beer bottles and plastic bottles properly. 3. Before I booked, I felt a little fishy about their 5/5 ratings on Tripadvisor and Google but after my trip, I can truly understand why they have perfect scores and reviews online. Plus we did not feel that they are being nice only for the sake of getting good reviews or tips. I did feel the passion and their positive attitudes at work. Thank you Leken Adventures.
My daughter and I just completed a 6 day climb of Kilimanjaro and a 4 day safari with Leken Adventures. We have received excellent service preparing our climbing. The care for our wellbeing and support were patient, friendly and perfect and we always felt safe. I remember the sentence "pole, pole, just a few meters then there is the peak" hahaaa. The guides (Poul and Baraka) were truly exceptional and exceeded our expectations in every way. Their concern for our health and welfare and in helping us to achieve our goal was top-notch. The food on the climb was far better than we expected. Also four days on safari with Leken Adventures was a once in a lifetime experience for us. We visited both the Manyara National park, Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The food too was good and accommodations that arranged perfect. Thank you Alex and Leken Adventures team for making this a truly unforgettable experience! The excellent experience with the service provided by the company I would highly recommend their service
We were on our honeymoon and it was the best experience that we could have imagined. From the first moment the Leken Adventures team helped us with all the details of the safari according to our demands (Thanks Alex!!!). They have helped us with the hotel reservations and we have all our information updated in all the accommodations. We are both celiac and Leken Adventures advised all the places, so we had any problem with it, normally it is very difficult in some cases, but here all was perfect. Alex helped us with the cancellation of one internal flight with Air Tanzania too, so we are very grateful. We took the luxury option in the safari and all the accommodations are absolutely amazing, we were in the middle of the National Parks surrounded by lots of animals, it is an incredible experience. During the safari every detail was considered, the Jeep has all the things that you need. Our guide Lazaro was the best, he was always looking for the animals and he was the first to see a lot of them like the Rhino, Cheetah, Serval cat, Lions, Leopard, lots of Elephants, etc. absolutely amazing. He picked us up at the airport and at the end of the safari they drive you to the airport, so you don't have to worry about anything. If you are thinking of going to a safari and have the best experience with no problems Leken Adventures is your best option. Wish to see them again soon, Yeung & Emily
My first time to visit Africa, My friend and I didnt have any information about Tanzania, Alex was really kind and helpful to arrange our schedule. It took more than 13 hours to get in Africa, so super tired from the flight and entry into Tanzania, however, the pickup guy, Edward, was very warmly welcoming us and made us feel very comfortable being in Tanzania. It was very short time to spend time with him, but he really gave us a good first impression about Tanzania. On the second day, we met our guide, Raymond who was the best part of our trip. He explained everything in details very easily. Before going to Tanzania, I didnt know the differences between impala and gazelle, and now I am an expert to distinguish them. Every time we meet new animals, he knows what we would wonder about and explain about that. Getting known about animals, their cultures, the history of name of each places, and Swahili were very fun and interesting, Unbelievable views and nice people. These would be enough why you go to Tanzania. Travelling with Leken Adventures is the easiest and the best way to experience well-organized and unforgettable trip. Like us, may have chance to see Lions right next to you We highly recommend have a tour with Leken Adventures and the Raymond as your guide. They will never let you down.
We came back from our 13 day private safari with Leken Adventures. We were still dreaming about the wonderful moments we had in Tanzania. It was an amazing experience with the company; their services are professional, efficient and detailed oriented. Start from the planning, working with Alex was a joy. He was always prompt to reply any questions we have. He also went out of his way to ensure our requests were taken care of. He kept daily communication with us while we were on the safari making sure everything went well. We requested Ayub to be our guide, our trip experiences definitely proved that we made a perfect decision. Ayub was a very nice person who took a great care of us. He was professional and took pride in his career. We were impressed by his true passion about animals and nature in his country. We learnt so much about the animals, the Masai culture and Tanzania from him. We had travelled to many countries; this is definitely the best experiences we had with a tour company, a big thank you to Ayub, Alex and the team at Leken Adventures. We will be back!
We had the most amazing experience with Leken Adventures. We planned a last minute safari trip. The staff was very professional and responded to emails within minutes. They were able to customize our trip to include everything we wanted at the price point we wanted. The accommodations were absolutely beautiful. We cannot say enough positive things about our tour guide Eric. He has the most amazing eye and was so professional and friendly. He knew the name of every single animal, plant and bird we ever asked him. We truly had such a wonderful time and loved every minute of our trip. We would highly recommend booking a safari with Leken Adventures!!
I'm not normally one to write reviews but the level of service Leken Adventure provided on our recent trip is something that needs to praised We had been planning our safari holiday for a number of years and eventually decided to go for it. We started by getting quotes from USA operators but were being provided quotes way out of our price range so we decided to try some local operators. With a little bit of help from previous Trip Advisor reviews we sent off for quotes from a couple of highly rated operators. The prices from local operators in Tanzania blew the USA quotes out of the water. We decided to go with Leken Adventure and it was the best decision we ever made. From the initial point of contact Alex helped us build up our custom built itinerary in a friendly but professional manor. We exchanged numerous emails where Alex would provide various quotes on the many different lodges and camps in the various different parks of Tanzania. Nothing was ever too much and every e-mail was dealt with quickly. Finally we settled on a 9 day itinerary including Lake Manyara, Central Serengeti, Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire completely custom built to include the lodges/camps we wanted. We can't praise Alex enough for help organizing our trip, from the initial contact right to the end of the trip everything ran so smoothly. However, let's face it; it's the actual trip that really counts. But yet again Leken Adventure delivered a trip that was way beyond our wildest dreams and surpassed all our expectations!! As promised we were collected from the airport and taken to our first night accommodation to get some much needed rest from the long flight and the following morning we were met by our guide for the week to set off on our safari. Nas, our guide, was amazing. He made the trip the incredible experience it was. He was extremely knowledgeable (not quite sure how he remember the names of all those birds) but most of all his friendly approach made us feel completely at ease and able to ask any question about the animals, birds and Tanzanian life!! We learnt so much from Nas. As we had booked the private safari, we had the luxury of being able to dictate how long we stayed and watched certain animals without ever feeling rushed. Nas seemed to have a knack of finding the things we wanted to see and within only 4 days we'd ticked off the Big 5 (even finding a mother and baby Rhino in the trees in Northern Serengeti). By the end of the week we'd experienced so many amazing things but the highlights had to be the thousands of wildebeest crossing the River Mara and the fascinating sight of watching a pride of lions feasting on a Eland close to our camp. One thing Nas taught us is patience is the key, so while other jeeps moved on, we waited and were left alone to see the 2 lions initially eating to be joined by 7 others from the pride. Lesson learnt!! Every day we saw new amazing things and having an incredible guide is the key. We will be back. Thanks again!!
