Day 1 arrival , sunset drive
Madikwe
Arrive in western Madikwe by 14.00. After check-in explore the lodge, animal hide. Meet other guests for afternoon tea then depart on the evening drive. Off roading is permitted where necessary. Madikwe has the Big 5 plus wild dog which are a top sighting here. As the sun sets, stop for a traditional South African 'sundowner'. Return to the lodge, freshen up & proceed to the lounge room for drinks followed by dinner. The animal hide with floodlit waterhole is open anytime.

Day 2 drives, animal hide
Madikwe
Awaken at dawn then a quick coffee before departing on the early morning game drive which is a good time to spot lion, rhino or a herd of buffalo. Enjoy a hearty breakfast back at the lodge. Visit the underground animal hide to get amazing photos of elephants drinking. Enjoy a dip in the [pool. Later in the afternoon, join your Field Guide for more excitement on the evening game drive. Dinner at the lodge will be on the terrace or in the boma with campfire.
Day 3 sunrise drive, depart
Madikwe
Awaken at dawn & head out for your final morning game drive looking for elusive species such as leopard or a pack of wild dogs which are one of the highlights of Madikwe. Its also a great time for birdwatching. Breakfast back at Bush House served on the verandah then check on animals drinking at the waterhole next to the hide. Farewell to staff, take a few lodge photos. Enjoy a relaxing drive back towards Johannesburg, Drop-off at your hotel or O R Tambo Airport by late afternoon.
