Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer to Kruger

Kruger

Depart Johannesburg in an aircon microbus with our experienced Kruger Park driver/guide. Travel east towards Nelspruit. After lunch enter southern Kruger Park for the first game drive. You can expect to see antelope, giraffe and possibly elephant. Drive to Sabie River Bush Lodge where we stay overnight. Check into your en suite accommodation with aircon. Relax on the pool deck overlooking the Sabie River hoping to see some hippos or crocodile. Dinner in the Gecko Lapa Restaurant and overnight.

Day 2 - Drives in southern Kruger

Kruger

Head into Kruger Park for your early morning game drive. Travel through bush veld areas looking for Big 5 species. After about 3 hours, stop at a Camp for breakfast. Continue on the mid-morning drive. Arrive at Skukuza and book into a chalet with aircon. Approximately 16.00 board the National Parks safari vehicle for a sunset drive and a chance to nocturnal species. Your guide will arrange dinner in the Cattle Baron Bistro and then walk back to your chalet under the starlit sky.

Day 3 - Transit Kruger to a Lodge

Greater Kruger

A memorable early morning game drive heading up to the open plains of central Kruger. Breakfast at Satara then a final game drive follows the Timbavati river west to exit at Orpen Gate. Drive to Mohlabetsi or similar and book into an en suite chalet with aircon and insect screens. Enjoy a refreshing swim then lunch in the garden. Board the open safari vehicle for an evening drive including a stop for sundowner drinks. Back at the lodge prepare for Boma dinner with campfire.

Day 4 - early drive and return

Greater Kruger

Join the armed ranger for an early morning drive and short bush walk to learn about the smaller creatures including birds . Return to the lodge and freshen-up before a delicious breakfast then take some final photos in the African bush. Depart for a relaxing homeward journey through the farmlands and trout fishing areas of Dullstroom . Stop for refreshments and arrive back at Johannesburg Airport approximately 16.30 for onward flights or continue to your hotel.
