Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Murchison Falls

Upon arrival, you will be met by our company safari guide who will transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe. The guide will also brief you about the highlights of your trip. You can have an optional visit to Entebbe Botanical gardens. In this garden you can spot a few primates like the black and white colobus monkeys. Return to your accommodation and have enough rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison

Murchison Falls

After After breakfast, we drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you through Luwero Triangle, Nakasongola long stretch to Masindi town. Expect a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a short walk to see the white Rhinos with a ranger escort for about an hour. Have lunch at Kabalega Dinners, proceed to Murchison falls National Park. You will occasionally see your wildlife including warthogs, giraffes, buffaloes as you drive to your accommodation.

Day 3: Game Viewing- Boat Cruise

Have breakfast, take pleasure in morning game drive towards the delta to experience wildlife and various bird species. Go for afternoon boat trip on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the Murchison falls en-route you will see hippos, Nile crocodiles cooling off and variety of birds. Hike to the top of the falls for viewing of the other side of the falls where the Nile squeezes through a 7 meters’ gorge, a very impressive view of the foaming waters rushing into the gorge with a deafening sound.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale

Kibale

After breakfast, drive to the top of the Murchison Falls (in case you did not hike) for a spectacular view of the falls. Thereafter the safari will continue with transfer to Kibale National Park. This park is highly alluring to nature lovers for its excellent chimpanzee trekking and bird watching. Its boosts of the highest total of primates such as L’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, red Columbus, olive baboon and chimpanzee. Upon arrival you will check in your room and relax.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking

After breakfast, proceed to the park office for briefing. While in the forest expect to see at least 2-3 other types of primates most especially grey- cheeked mangabey and red tailed monkey. The guides will identify various medicinal plants, bird calls and animal spoor. Once you allocate the chimpanzees, you will be allowed an hour with them. You return to the lodge for lunch thereafter you will head out for Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening for dinner and overstay.

Day 6: Game Viewing- Boat Trip

After breakfast we will go for a morning game drive looking for wildlife such as lions, elephants, hippos, hyenas, leopards, impalas, buffalos, Ugandan kobs and many others as well as numerous bird species. After the game drive, we go back to the hotel for lunch before getting ready for an afternoon or evening boat cruise when we hope to see wildlife coming down to the water’s edge to drink.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi

Have breakfast and later you will be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park though the Ishasha sector which is well known for tree climbing lions population. Ishasha sector also harbors decent concentrations of hippos, elephants, buffalo and antelopes. You will have lunch in Ishasha and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a home of the endangered mountain gorillas reaching in the evening for dinner and overnight stay

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast, drive to the park offices for briefing. Trek through the rain forest and bamboo covered slopes. You will love the trekking in the ecosystem of the park. The trekking will take 3-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Return to the lodge for lunch. Later you will drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. Check in your lodge for a relaxed evening with stunning view of the lake. You can have optional canoe ride on the lake to discover its scattered islands.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo

After your delicious breakfast, Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, as we enter the park, it is likely that you will spot some wildlife. After check in and have lunch. Later go for a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the rich bird life and hippos cooling off. Have an early dinner before going for a night game drive. This is special game drive of 2-3 hours provides 30% chances of seeing the elusive leopard and of course other nocturnal animals.

Day 10: Nature Walk- Entebbe

Early start of the day as we go for a nature walk by a ranger. L. Mburo is the only national park where you can experience a safari on foot. Return to the lodge for breakfast with a game drive on your way out, Start on your journey to Entebbe, expect stopovers for lunch along the way and the Equator line for pictures. Proceed with the journey to Entebbe arriving evening. Enriched with the memory of the rare apes and savannah wildlife, you will say goodbye to the pearl of Africa.
