Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls

Murchison Falls

After your early arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will pick you and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive will take you through Luwero Triangle, Nakasongola long stretch to Masindi town. Stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a short walk to see the white rhinos with a ranger escort for about an hour. Proceed to Murchison Falls. You will be amazed by the beautiful landscape while occasionally sighting of giraffes and other wildlife on your way to your accommodation.

Day 2: Game viewing- Boat Cruise

Have breakfast, head out on a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile to experience a great deal of wildlife and bird species. Post lunch go on a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the Falls. Game viewing is excellent with hippos, crocodiles and buffaloes. Elephants are frequently seen playing in the water often within few meters. From the main view point, a longer footpath perhaps 30 minutes, leads to a saddle offering a face on view of the Murchison Falls.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale

After breakfast, the safari will continue with a transfer to Kibale National Park. This park is highly alluring to nature lovers for its excellent chimpanzee trekking and bird watching. Its boasts one of the highest concentrations of primates such as velvet, red-tailed, L’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, red colobus, olive baboon and chimpanzee. Upon arrival you will check in your room and have a relaxed evening.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking

After breakfast, proceed to the park office for a briefing. While in the forest expect to see at least 2-3 other types of primates most especially grey-cheeked mangabey and red tailed monkey. You will hear plenty of bird calls too. Once you find the chimpanzees, you will be allowed an hour with them. You return to the lodge for lunch, thereafter you will head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drive- Boat Cruise

After breakfast, go for early morning game drive though the park, looking out for members of the big five as well as other mammals. In the afternoon go for a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, a great trip with sightings which might include elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, large hippo pods, giant forest hogs and more. Keep an open eye for the enormous monitor lizard which is common in the riverine scrub as well as crocodiles. Water birds are plentiful such as yellow billed stock

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi

Bwindi Impenetrable | Queen Elizabeth

Have breakfast and later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park though the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is well known for its tree climbing lions population as well as good concentrations of hippos, elephants, buffaloes and antelopes. You will have lunch in Ishasha and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas, reaching in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7; Gorilla Trekking

After a healthy breakfast, you will drive to the park offices for briefing. Tracking through the park’s ecosystem of rain forest and bamboo covered slopes. The tracking will take 3-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Return to the lodge for lunch. Later you will drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. Check in your lodge for a relaxed evening with stunning views of the lake. You can have optional canoe ride on the lake to discover its scattered islands

Day 8: Transfer to Kampala

Bwindi Impenetrable

Have a delicious breakfast, then start on your journey to Kampala/Entebbe, with stop overs for lunch along the way and the Equator line for pictures. Proceed with the journey to Entebbe arriving late afternoon or evening to be dropped at the airport or hotel.
