Safari summary

This five-day safari is designed around the Great Migration calving season, combining Tarangire, Central Serengeti, Ndutu and Ngorongoro Crater. Begin in Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobabs and diverse wildlife. Continue to Central Serengeti, where the Seronera area offers opportunities to see resident lions, leopards, cheetahs and other plains wildlife.

The safari then moves south to Ndutu, one of the most important areas of the migration during the calving season. From around January to March, the short-grass plains become a major gathering area for wildebeest and zebras, with large numbers of newborn calves attracting predators. Guests have opportunities to observe mothers with newborns, young calves moving with the herds and predator activity involving lions, cheetahs and hyenas.

The journey finishes with a game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, where the rich grasslands, wetlands and woodland support a high concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas and the endangered black rhino.
