About Gavin Opie Safaris
Since 2007 Gavin Opie Safaris has been leading tours to the South Luangwa National Park designed to suit visitors with modest budgets, but big dreams! We are passionate about providing high quality, all-inclusive safaris at affordable prices. Our all-inclusive mantra is very important to us, and there are no hidden costs with a Jackalberry safari. Our one-off safari price really does include everything! Because we are a small company, our clients all receive an incredible safari experience.

Having been on safari in Botswana (mobile camping) and Tanzania, I can honestly say that the safari with Gavin Opie at Nkonzi Camp was the best. The camp set-up (albeit temporary) was well planned with plenty of space between tents and the socialising area and, being on the river bank, enabled the use of the dried-up river bed for breakfast each morning and evening meals on two occasions. All Gavin's staff worked hard to make our stay as pleasant and memorable as possible.
Our guides, Gavin and Jabbers, were both knowledgeable and genial. Covering part of the South Luangwa, we saw so many creatures on each drive, the same family groups on a number of occasions.
