Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your private driver for a warm welcome and transfer to your hotel in Moshi . Relax, settle in, meet your mountain guide and attend a pre-trek briefing. The day is reserved for rest and final preparation.

After breakfast, drive to Lemosho Gate for registration and begin your trek through the lush montane rainforest. Enjoy the peaceful forest environment, ancient trees, birds and possible wildlife sightings before reaching Mti Mkubwa Camp, your first overnight stop.

Continue climbing through the forest before entering the moorland zone. The vegetation gradually changes as the trail approaches the spectacular Shira Plateau. Enjoy views of Kibo, volcanic landscapes and unique high-altitude vegetation while trekking toward Shira 1 Camp.

Trek toward Lava Tower at approximately 4,600 metres, experiencing the dramatic alpine desert environment. After spending time at altitude, descend toward Barranco Valley. Look for giant Senecio plants and enjoy spectacular views of Barranco Wall and the surrounding mountain scenery.

Begin the day by climbing the famous Barranco Wall, one of the most exciting sections of the route. Continue across ridges and valleys through the alpine desert, with impressive views of Kibo and the Southern Icefield. Reach Karanga Camp for rest and acclimatization.

Trek steadily toward Barafu Base Camp through rugged alpine desert terrain. As you climb higher, the vegetation becomes increasingly sparse. Arrive at Barafu, the main summit preparation camp, where you receive a detailed summit briefing, enjoy an early dinner and rest before the midnight ascent.

Barafu to Uhuru Peak to Mweka camp

Start the summit attempt around midnight and climb slowly toward Stella Point on the crater rim. Continue to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement before descending through the alpine desert to Mweka Camp for your overnight rest.
