Zambian adventure

Views: 70 Visited: May 2019 Reviewed: Jun 04, 2019

Wanted to go to Zambia but seemed out of my budget. Contacted Sue after a travel show, explained I was a solo traveller and where I wanted to go and what I wanted to see.
Sue was so helpful and her advice excellent. I'd lived in Africa for some years and had been visiting quite regularly so it was great to talk to someone who really knew her way round.
The suggestions made by Sue fell into my budget.
She suggested South Luangwa and, to be h... read more

Botswana and Victoria Falls: The adventure of a lifetime.

Views: 48 Visited: Apr 2019 Reviewed: Apr 25, 2019

My wife and I recently returned from the most incredible adventure of our lives so far. Botswana is a staggeringly beautiful country. Gliding through the Okavango Delta on mokoros canoes was just breath-taking. On our game walks and game drives we saw all the wildlife you could possibly wish for. Wild camping in Botswana is an experience that we will never forget. The Victoria Falls, so majestic yet so powerful.

Victoria Falls and Botswana - just spectacular

Views: 101 Visited: Mar 2019 Reviewed: Apr 13, 2019

After a telephone call with a Sue at Tracks Safaris who took a few details from us, Sue put together a superb itinerary for our 12 night trip.

Firstly The Elephant Camp in Victoria Falls was an amazing start - a small friendly lodge serving great food and wine and sundowners by the Gorge. Our stay also included a sunset cruise on the Zambezi and an elephant interaction which was one of our highlights. We saw Victoria Falls from both Zimba... read more

A solo trip of a lifetime to Zambia

Views: 220 Visited: Oct 2018 Reviewed: Nov 13, 2018

I saw Tracks advertising 'no single supplement' plus offering arrangements for the somewhat less fit traveller - perfect for me aged 70 on my first solo holiday as a widow. I contacted Sue and gave her my pretty exacting requirements - I knew what I wanted as I have travelled fairly extensively in Africa before. And boy did Sue give me brilliant advice - she suggested South Luangwa National Park in Zambia as the basis of my wildlife expedition... read more

Sue's suggestions were first class

Views: 477 Visited: Jun 2018 Reviewed: Jul 30, 2018

Sue recommended two safaris on the Ol Peteta Conservancy, camp-based, in Kenya. One a 3-day and the other a 4-day both in Porini camps and were the Rhino and Cheetah camps. Her choice for first timers was excellent.

All was arranged by her and a problem was quickly resolved when a couple of flights were cancelled by the an airline which she rearranged leaving us to enjoy our experience. Would thoroughly recommend her services. read more

Tanzania January 2018 for the migration; trip of a lifetime (and one to be repeated)

Views: 234 Visited: Jan 2018 Reviewed: Feb 20, 2018

11 stunning nights in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater, Lake Ndutu, Serengeti and finishing with Tarangire national park.

The weather, the wildlife, the scenery, the accommodation, our hosts, the lodge and camp staff and the itinerary were all perfect and we couldn't have had a more amazing time. Our driver was a pleasure to be with, highly informative, taught us some Swahili and made sure we were comfortable and saw as much wildlife as pos... read more

Trip of a lifetime!

Views: 374 Visited: Aug 2017 Reviewed: Oct 30, 2017

Having never been to South Africa before and wanting to celebrate my 50th birthday, we set Sue a demanding brief which she met in every way, creating a trip that we will never forget.

We started in Cape Town, then drove down the Garden Route via Grootbos Reserve, inland for Oudtshoorn and back to the coast for Jeffery's Bay before heading for the grand finale, a 3-day safari at Kwandwe Reserve in the Eastern Cape. read more

Holiday of a lifetime

Views: 1889 Visited: Aug 2015 Reviewed: Aug 21, 2015

We have just returned from the best holiday ever, 2 weeks in South Africa and Zambia which included Cape Town, Victoria Falls and by a country mile the best of all, the safari in Sabi Sands. Sue organised the whole trip around our brief and everything went smoothly and met all our expectations and more.

The safari experience was amazing, we saw all Big 5 in the first 2 hours of our first game drive and our skilled tracker and guide got us ... read more

Our Wilderness Journey Botswana and Zambia

Views: 838 Visited: Mar 2015 Reviewed: Mar 30, 2015

Immense thanks to Track Safaris for arranging the holiday of a lifetime. All our needs were met, even the ones we did not know that we had. The organisation was superb as was the very personal attention from the director, Sue. Having spent 40 years travelling throughout Africa we have to say that Wilderness Safaris were the best we have travelled with. We have so many outstanding memories, seeing the Pells Fishing Owl, a Nightjar on a log duri... read more

Africa - Up close with nature!

Views: 525 Visited: Nov 2014 Reviewed: Nov 13, 2014

Amazing - from the moment we landed in Nairobi! We were well looked after, stayed in some beautiful places and saw some amazing sights. We were expecting lots from our safari - we got even more ... It was fabulous!

November was a good time to travel - warm weather, with only short showers and not too many other vehicles around - so the animals were not crowded in.

As well as travelling in Kenya, we also visited Tanzania. Highlights were... read more

Amazing Tracks Safari to South Africa

Views: 490 Visited: Feb 2014 Reviewed: Nov 12, 2014

Just back from an absolutely wonderful Tracks Safari to Kruger National Park and the Kwazulu Natal coast of South Africa.
From the outset, Tracks Safari's owner Sue Preater was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful on the phone, and prompt and efficient in replying to my email and further telephone communications.
We didn't really know where we wanted to visit, but Sue had lots of ideas tailored to our interests and talked us through the vari... read more

What an awesome adventure!

Views: 356 Visited: Sep 2014 Reviewed: Oct 09, 2014

Our trip to South Africa and specifically our Tracks Safari adventure was simply outstanding! Our safari guide, Darren at the Madikwe Lodge was personable, knowledgeable and also made a great cup of fresh coffee during our morning drives and poured a mean glass of wine on the afternoon drives. LOL! He took good care of our safety, did his best to ensure we saw lots of animals on each drive and provided much information about South Africa, ... read more

Great Wilderness Journey, Botswana

Dear Sue
Just wanted to say thanks for arranging such a wonderful trip, it was everything I expected and more. Wilderness Safaris were a fantastic company to be traveling with in every way, the service to me was outstanding including providing me with my own personal guide for my extra days at Toka Leya who led me in the bush on foot to get extremely close to a White Rhino.
Many fantastic memories including Elephants swimming with their trun... read more

Tailor-made safari with great attention to detail!

Views: 599 Visited: May 2014 Reviewed: Aug 06, 2014

I met one of the reps for Tracks Safaris on a previous trip to Zambia, and really felt that their way of doing things was very much in line with what I look for in a good travel agent. Therefore, when it came to booking my next safari (to Tanzania), I decided to contact Tracks Safaris amongst other operators, to see what they would come back with. In the end, I booked with them and was very happy with my choice. I have done many safaris before... read more
