Our safari tours use specially rented 4x4 vehicles designed for comfort, safety, and the rugged terrain of the African wilderness. These vehicles, which seat 6-8 passengers, feature large windows, open or pop-up roofs for optimal wildlife viewing, and ample interior space with cushioned seating for comfort. Equipped with safety features like seat belts, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers, each vehicle is driven by an experienced guide familiar with local wildlife and terrain. The vehicles are regularly maintained, ensuring reliability and smooth performance throughout the trip, with ample storage for personal belongings and camera gear. Rented from a reputable local car company, these vehicles provide an authentic safari experience, combining adventure with comfort.
From the moment I started the booking process I felt very comfortable with my choice of Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours. Roster was very quick to reply to any queries that I had and extremely knowledgeable and informative on all aspects relating to our climb. We met our guide Jackson the night before our climb for a quick run through of kit and arrangements for the next day. He completely put us at ease and made us feel very comfortable when we found out he had summited 500 times!!! Who better to take us to the top of Kilimanjaro. Jackson's team of men were nothing short of incredible and over the 7 nights and 8 days of our Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours Lemosho route looked after us so very very well !! Each and every one of the team of 23 worked extremely hard. There are many things that I will never forget about our trip but a couple of them which will always stand out….. the smiles we received from the ‘team ‘ as they passed us each day having packed up the camp, rushing onwards to have everything ready for us when we arrived at our new destination ! The songs !!! Oh the songs … and the dancing ! Red bull and more songs at a point when we were all feeling particularly low on summit night. The wonderful kindness ! Super John had the most incredible voice and was always striving to keep us safe. He was the most amazing assistant guide, as was Robert, the most wonderful smile! Both assistant guides were incredibly experienced and knowledgable. It was obvious that they had the best mentor in Jackson who was clearly loved and respected by his ‘team’. I am sure that Super John and Robert will be leading their own teams very soon. I cannot recommend Kilimanjaro Umoja Tours enough. If you are considering climbing mighty Kilimanjaro.

The experience was professional from beginning to end. The support team were magnificent and caring. They made the climbing experience problem free. The guides were informative and quick to help. What seemed at first daunting became possible and indeed delightful because of the team approach of the guides and porters- true athletes. The views were stunning and colorful. Two guides in particular are worth mentioning, Elia and Mando who lent a hand at every turn. If you are interested is a unique experience with an amazing group. This is for you.
