Itinerary

Arrival and do Kigali city tour

You will be welcomed at the Kigali International airport by the tour guide of Skyway Expeditions and enjoy a city tour of Kigali genocide memorials and other places of interest in Kigali. We will have lunch in the city and after our tour we will retire to our reserved hotel for dinner and rest. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Transfer to Nyungwe forest N.Park

Nyungwe Forest

After our morning break fast, we will drive to Nyungwe forest national park. The journey from Kigali to Nyungwe will take around 3- 4 hours. Reach in Nyungwe and check in at our lodge and later head for an afternoon canopy walk. Dinner and overnight at the Guest house.

After our Early morning breakfast,we head to Nyungwe forest briefing point for chimp tracking. We will be briefed about the dos and don’ts about chimps during the time we will be with them. Enjoy chimp watching the only mammals that are 98.7 % similar to human being and once found you will stay with them for 1 hour and take photos and later return to the lodge for lunch and after proceed to drive and cross the border to Bukavu in democratic republic of Congo. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

After our early morning breakfast, jump into the safari jeep and drive for 1 hour to Kahuzi biega national park headquarters for briefing about the eastern lowland gorilla trekking dos and don’ts (rules and regulation) and after enter into the lowland swamps to search for the endangered eastern lowland gorillas and once found you will have one hour for photos and films and later return to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Transfer to Gisenyi Rwanda

After morning breakfast at the lodge, you will embark into the safari jeep and transfer to Goma Using Rwanda Side and enjoy your dinner and overnight at Waterfront beach hotel in Gisenyi, its likely to take you 7 hours drive to arrive, enjoy the boat cruise on Lake Kivu on evening hours visiting the fishing villages and other local communities.

Transfer to Akagera N.Park

Akagera

After our early morning breakfast, we shall head to Akagera N. Park. It lies in eastern part of Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles. In the evening you will proceed to the Lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After our early morning breakfast, we shall head for a morning game drive with our packed lunch. It will be a perfect time to catch up with the early risers. Later we will drive through to Lake Mburo N. Park in Uganda, Mbarara district via Mirama hills border. Arrive in the evening and check in at the lodge. Dinner and over night at the camp.

Lake Mburo

After our early morning breakfast, we shall head for a game drive in search of the early risers. Lake Mburo boasts of game like Zebras, kobs, baboons, varvet monkeys, impalas, water bucks, warthogs and many more. We will return in time for lunch, relax shortly and later head for a boat trip on the beautiful lake Mburo where schools of hippos will be seen and a variety of water birds like the sought after African fin foot. Dinner and overnight as above.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth N. park

After your morning breakfast, you will travel from Lake Mburo National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We will tour the Katwe salt lake where you learn a thing or two about the salt extracted there. Later we proceed to the Park, you will do an afternoon/evening game drive if time allows. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After your morning breakfast, you will do a game drive, followed by an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. This channel is among the most important features in Q. Elizabeth N. Park giving a wonderful view of the most important wildlife within the park. Along the natural Kazinga Channel, be ready to watch the largest population of hippos in the whole world as well as plentiful Nile crocs, over 380 bird species all making up the beauty of the Pearl of Africa.

Transfer to Semliki N. Park

After your morning breakfast, we shall transfer to Semliki valley N. Park. We will drive through breath taking sceneries and the magnificent unending lush savannahs and we will drive for about 1 to 2 hours. We will arrive and check in at the lodge. We have lunch and later we head for a game drive. Semliki boasts of animals like African buffaloes, leopard, hippos, mona monkey, water chevrotain, bush babies, African civet, African elephant, pygmy scaly-tailed flying squirrel and many more.

After our early morning breakfast, we shall head for an early morning game drive for the early risers and the missed species, and later we head to the Sempaya hot springs hot enough to boil eggs and raw bananas in just minutes. An experience not to miss. We will be with parked lunch and later in the evening we will retire back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Transfer to Murchison N. park

Murchison Falls

After our early morning breakfast, we shall transfer to Murchison falls N. Park. This drive will take us 7 to 7 and 30 hours’ drive. We will set off with our packed lunch and we will go through breath taking Sceneries and we will arrive in Murchison falls N. park in the afternoon. We may relax at the lodge after checking in or head for a late evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Murchison Falls

After our early morning breakfast, we will be taken for an early morning game drive towards the northern riverbank in search of Cape Buffaloes, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, lions, giraffes, waterbucks and bushbucks, and if you are lucky also leopards. You will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch before taking on an afternoon boat cruise to the most powerful falls on the Nile River where a variety of aquatic mammals will be viewed.

Drive to Entebbe Airport

After our morning breakfast, we shall drive through the park for a short game drive and later we shall proceed to Entebbe for our evening return flight. Lunch will be on the way.
