Safari summary
Tanzania is an inherently wild and adventurous area that has only been partly tamed by man. A large portion of the country is dedicated to preserving the wilderness and wildlife, and it is home to three of Africa’s top five destinations – the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater. There are also numerous lesser visited parks in the south and west of Tanzania that are equally as exciting but offer a more private experience.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arusha | Kilimanjaro
Day 1 Free Airport Pickup Your guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and escort you to tonight’s accommodations in Arusha. As local Tanzanians, our guides know the country with unrivaled familiarity, so you’ll be in good hands from the moment you land to the moment you leave.
Day 2
Serengeti
Day 2 to 3: Eastern Serengeti Nature Refuge Take a short view of the natural scenery to a private nature refuge in the eastern Serengeti. This private, 10,000-acre nature refuge has made remarkable strides in the conservation of wildlife and landscapes—and it is only accessible to our guests. Stretch your legs on walks during the day and witness nocturnal wildlife behavior during a night wildlife drive both restricted in the national parks.
Day 4
Serengeti
Day 4 to 7: Serengeti National Park Head for the iconic Serengeti, where acacia trees and granite kopjes dot the seas of waving grass. The Serengeti offers everyday opportunities to spot Tanzania’s most impressive wildlife—including big cats—and witness dramatic moments in the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.
Day 8
Day 8 to 10: Ngorongoro Highlands The Ngorongoro Highlands are situated within the designated Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which protects the land of the area and the traditional Masaai way of life within it. Of course the Crater itself is the main attraction of the Conservation Area but equally amazing are the highlands that roll on around the Crater.
Day 11
Tarangire
Day 11-12: Tarangire National Park Head off for Tarangire National Park, where ancient baobab trees tower over some of the largest herds of elephants in all of Africa. Keep a lookout for the hundreds of bird species Tarangire is known for and dramatic interactions between predator and prey at the park’s watering holes.
Day 13
Arusha | Tarangire
Day 13: Tarangire National Park to Arusha Head to Arusha, where you’ll enjoy a farewell lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge. Relax in a day room in Meru Inn before your departure to home.
