Matobo

Your Zimbabwe safari starts on arrival at Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo. Here, our Jumbari representative will meet you for your transfer to Amalinda Lodge located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Matoba Hills. The next three days can be spent exploring Matoba National Park and the surrounding area or alternatively, you can relax at the infinity pool at Amalinda Lodge or the in-house spa.

Hwange

This trip is a safari for families who have a keen interest in wildlife conservation as you will have the opportunity to track endangered species such as the black and white rhino on foot or vehicle. Other activities include historical excursions to San rock art, community cycling tours and game drives in Matoba National Park.

Hwange | Matobo

The next three days can be spent exploring Matoba National Park and the surrounding area or alternatively, you can relax at the infinity pool at Amalinda Lodge or the in-house spa.

After your morning game drive and breakfast at the lodge, your family will be transferred to Hwange National Park and check-in at Ivory Lodge.

Located on the outskirts of Hwange National Park, Ivory Lodge is the perfect base from which to explore Zimbabwe’s largest game reserve. The family-friendly lodge is built on stilted wooden platforms offering the entire family elevated views of the surrounding area. The lodge is also famous for up-close sightings of the Presidential Elephant Herd who frequents the watering hole in front of the lodge.

Observing wildlife from the comfort of the lodge is bound to be one of the highlights of your Zimbabwe family safari. The next three days at Ivory Lodge will include guided game walks, Dete cultural tours and guided game drives.
