Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1-4 After arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be collected by your driver and transferred to the popular hotel of Radisson Red based at the famous V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. We have chosen this as the rooms are great with fantastic views of the Waterfront or Table Mountain. The food is sustainably sourced in the hotel restaurant and the family room has bunk beds. Also see the sunset over Table Mountain from the roof of the hotel where you can have cocktails or smoothies and relax.

Day 5

Day 5-7 After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, your driver will collect you and transfer you to Cape Town International Airport. From their take a flight to Johannesburg. Once at the airport in Johannesburg you will jump on a shuttle bus to the famous Sun City and check into the Cabanas at Sun city. The newly refurbished Cabanas hotel is situated by the Waterworld Lake and is a great base to stay and experience all that Sun City has to offer from the golf course, the Spa, Valley of the Waves, Entertainment Centre, Kamp Kwena and many restaurants. Spend 3 nights at this resort having really good family time.

Day 8

Madikwe

Day 8-10 After spending 3 great nights at Sun City, your driver will collect you and transfer you to Madikwe Game Reserve which is a road transfer and this is where your safari begins. Thakadu is tented suites where you can enjoy the comforts of modern living inside your tent in the bushveld and the lodge blends into the surroundings and has views of the river to the north. Game drives are included with highly skilled rangers with will share their extended knowledge with guests. The lodge has babysitting and is good for families too.

Day 11

Day 11 After your morning early game drive, you will be collected and drive back to Johannesburg International Airport for the end of your trip. We are able to book an extension if you would like in Johannesburg too.
