Witness the natural wonder of the world and explore one of the best heritage site in the world

A whole week in which we explore some of Tanzania’s real natural wonders, as we follow the path of the Great Migration as it arrives in Northern Serengeti. In these summer months, this is where we’ll find the greatest concentration of herd animals, as the world’s biggest animal movement reaches the Mara River. Of course, Nature and rainfall determine the exact route and timings of the animals’ movement, so our daily schedule will be adjusted if necessary to ensure that we see the animals at their very best, at their most numerous. From our starting-point in Moshi/Arusha, our spectacular adventure takes us first to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant population and its landscape of distinctive baobab trees. We then drive to our next destination, Central Serengeti, before our unforgettable journey turns northwards to the park’s northern section. Simply thousands of zebra, wildebeest and Cape buffalo gather at the Mara River, waiting to cross. Each day will bring something new; all explained to you by your Safaris expert. The Great Migration is often the highlight of people’s lives, never mind the highlight of their safari! After absorbing all the excitement that Serengeti’s wildlife can provide, we head back south, changing scenery to visit stunning Ngorongoro crater, another incredible but totally different venue for the breathtaking animals of Tanzania. You will take with you thousands of memories to share with your friends and family

Day 4: To Northern Serengeti National Park

Today on our trip-of-a-lifetime we turn north, driving to the very northern edge of the Serengeti, the world-famous national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Northern Serengeti is a land of open woodland, covering the Seronera in its southern part and being bordered by the Mara River in the north: this marks the border with neighboring Kenya. We are now following in the footsteps of the Great Migration, great herds of thousands of zebra and wildebeest getting ready to cross the Mara. For the visitor, this is one of the world’s most awe-inspiring sights as the animals cross the dangerous waters in small or large groups. This is a chance to see Nature at its very rawest. Animals on the move, animals hunting or being hunted! Each day is different here, unpredictable and full of surprises, but nothing can surpass the Great Migration, that unique natural wonder which involves a cast of breathtaking numbers, literally hundreds of thousands of animals making their annual journey. As well as the migrating herds, the Northern Serengeti is an area where you might easily see giraffe, elephant and dik-dik.
