Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda Meet and greet our representative at Airport. Travel to Kampala the city of happiness, to check into your lodge. It is a comfortable lodge with beautiful Lake Victoria views. Depending on your arrival time, You may tour Entebbe Botanical Gardens and the Zoo or Kampala city. Stay at Cassia lodge

Day 2

Kibale

Day 2: To Kibale Forest National Park Today you will begin your journey to Kibale Forest. The drive will take you through a beautiful scenery of tea plantations. You stop for lunch in the Fort Portal town. Kibale Forest is home to the largest number of Chimps in East Africa about 5000 and other primates like Uganda mangabey, the Ugandan Red Colobus, the L'Hoest's monkey and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Day 3

Kibale

Day 3: Chimp tracking day Today you will go for chimp tracking in Kibale Forest. This is a guided activity with a forest ranger. These playful primates are enjoyable to see. In the forest, you will see the Uganda mangabey, the Ugandan red colobus, the L'Hoest's monkey and black and white colobus monkeys. After tracking return to your accommodation to relax and have lunch. Later in the afternoon go for a swamp walk. It is a home to over 100 bird species. The Sanctuary is operated by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development, local (CBO). A significant fraction of association income has been used, and continues to be used, to fund numerous related community projects. Visit the Bigodi Women’s Group, it weaves crafts from environmentally sustainable materials, dyes and methods. Their crafts are sold worldwide. There is an option to stay longer with the chimpanzees for a whole day at an extra cost. Stay at Kibale Forest Cottages

Day 4

Queen Elizabeth

Day 4: To Queen Elizabeth National Park In the morning, you can relax at your lodge. You will then continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Bunyangabu Beekeppers Cooperative (BBC), is a community organization along the Kasese – Fortportal road. Fresh comb honey is available from BBC between March-May and August- November. It is a true honey experience, where visitors can see honey processing, taste honey from the comb, and even make their own candles to take home. Stay at Marafiki Lodge

Day 5

Queen Elizabeth

Day 5: Game drive and boat ride - Queen Elizabeth The day begins early as we start with a morning game drive after an early breakfast. We will search for the lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon you go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural water channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. You will be able to see birds, hippos cooling off in the waters, elephants, and buffaloes. Stay at Marafiki Lodge

Day 6

Bwindi Impenetrable | Queen Elizabeth

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi National Park - Rushaga sector After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest home to the Mountain Gorilla. Explore the villages and the native communities. You will go through the Ishasha sector known for the tree climbing lions. You will have a stopover in Ishasha to view the tree climbing lions. Stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 7

Day 7: Encounter the Gorilla On this Gorilla day, have an early morning breakfast and then you will later go for a briefing by UWA officials at the Park headquarters. You will carry packed Lunch. You should wear jungle boots since tracking involves walking up steep densely forested hills. It is an exhilarating life time experience when you get close to the gorillas. After lunch, go visit the local communities living around the park to learn about their history. Stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 8

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi After breakfast, we take a scenic drive to Kabale via Lake Bunyonyi (a place of little birds) which has beautiful terraced hillsides. It is the second deepest Lake in Africa rumored to vary between 144 ft and 2,952 ft. You will enjoy a boat ride that will take you to various islands for bird viewing and sightseeing. Later in the day you will visit the Bakiga museum and discover the traditions of the inhabitants (Bakiga) of the area. Stay Bunyonyi Safari Resort

Day 9

Lake Mburo

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo After breakfast, we drive to Lake Mburo National Park enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. It is home to Elands as well as Zebras, Topis, Impalas, and birds. The lake within the park attracts Hippos, Crocodiles and a variety of water birds like African Fin foot. Check into your accommodation, have lunch and relax. Go for a boat ride in the afternoon. Day 10

Day 10: Game Drive and Nature walk After breakfast, we have a game drive and a ranger Guided Nature walk in the National park. You have chances of seeing animals like Water Bucks, Impalas, Elands, Buffalo, Topis, Zebras, Bush Bucks, Warthogs. Return for Lunch and relaxation. Stay at Rwakobo rock Go for another game drive in the evening. Night game drive can be arranged (Optional).

Day 11

Day 11: To Kampala via the Equator Have an early breakfast, and have another game drive as we leave the park. If you choose a nature walk, a ranger guide will escort you on foot while explaining to you the foot prints and dung of the animals that have just passed by. We have lunch en route. Stop over at the equator enjoy the water experiments, buy souvenirs and take photographs. Stay at Cassia Lodge

Day 12

Day 12: Kampala City Tour After breakfast, You will tour Kampala known as a city of happiness. The popular historical and religious sites include Gaddafi National Mosque, Lugard Fort, Kasubi tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Sanctuary, National Museum, Ndere Troupe culture Centre and Art Galleries for those who love art paintings. Stay at Cassia Lodge

Day 13

Day 13: Take your flight back home Our representative will pick you at the lodge and take you to Entebbe. If your flight is late in the evening, you will have a chance to go for another tour in Kampala or Entebbe.
