Itinerary

Day 1

Upendo Women community Travel to Lira Mid Northern Uganda to for your community tour. Arrive early afternoon. After lunch visit Upendo Art and Crafts Centre. This is a women group that has come together to promote the Lango culture through the making of crafts, storytelling and traditional dances. The group facilitates empowerment of the rural person through development of skills, talent and creativity to improve their quality of life.

Day 2

Day 3: Lango Culture and historical sites visit Today after breakfast visit Ngetta Hill the first Lango settlement. It is believed that the first Lango forefathers settled here where the rock stands today. Later visit Aboke girls, a school ransacked by rebel Kony, Barlonyo site and later the Lango cultural centre.

Day 3

Murchison Falls

Travel to Murchison Falls National Park Travel to Masindi for a visit to Murchison falls National Park. Go for an early game drive on the northern part of the park to catch up with the retiring predators and also see other animals like the Elephants, giraffes, Lions In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride to the bottom of the falls Later on, hike up to the top of the falls to see how wonderful it creates a rainbow as it forces its way through a narrow gorge making a thunderous sound.

Day 4

Kidepo Valley | Murchison Falls

Travel to Gulu Today travel to Kidepo with a stopover in Gulu another northern Uganda town. This region was hard hit by the LRA Kony insurgency but it is quickly recovered from the scars of war. Tour Gulu and also visit the nearby community projects. Visit Wawoto Kacel Cooperative Society Ltd – which means “Walking together” The cooperative facilitates the empowerment of the rural person through development of skills, talent and creativity to improve their quality of life.

Day 5

Kidepo National Park Today after breakfast travel to Kaabong the Home district of Kidepo National Park arrive early evening. Check in at your hotel and later go for an evening game drive through the rolling grassland plain in Narus valley a common evening spot for animals. The likely animal guest list may include the Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, and Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer and Lions plus many other mammals.

Kidepo Valley

Kidepo National Park Today start the day with a game drive in Kidepo National Park. This has been described as the Hidden Gem by CNN. It is home to 550 bird species and 77 different mammals that roam the savannas. You will see a collection of ostriches, giraffes, buffaloes and sometimes cheetahs and Lions.

Karamojong tribe Community Today you will visit the Karamojong communities to have a real taste of this warrior tribe. Dance with the community and visit their Manyattas (homes). Historically they were known as expert cattle rustlers but they have since stopped that activity, thanks to government support and community stakeholders.

Sipi Falls Today after breakfast travel to Sipi, Eastern Uganda located at the foot hills of Mountain Elgon. These spectacular falls are surrounded by village hiking trails and fertile slopes for Arabica coffee growing. These falls are named after an indigenous plant 'sep' along the banks of the Sipi river.

Sipi Falls, to Kampala City Today after breakfast go for a hike around the falls. You will be mesmerized by the falls. A local guide will accompany you along the villages, plantations and caves while explaining the traditions, flora and fauna of the area. The hike is about 3 hours. After you hiking experience, you will continue to Kampala City.
