You will then be transferred you to your first activity; at 09h30 a 3-hour river safari commence in the Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fascinating birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river for a drink to quench their thirst.

After the first activity, you are treated to lunch. After lunch, there is an opportunity to do last minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the Chobe National Park.

Guests then depart on an afternoon game drive - this being the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to for a drink.

Later you will be taken to your campsite. Each campsite provides a spacious walk in tent, with a bedroll and beddings (mattress, sheet duvet and pillow). Park fees, meals, mineral water, and house wine with dinner are supplied. Dinner is a two-course meal and consists of hearty ‘Bush Cuisine” cooked over an open fire and overnight stay.

On this day, guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light Continental breakfast. Soon after guest head off in open sided game viewer vehicles on an early morning game drive. At this time of morning chances for finding the big cats, or the rare Wild Dogs are high, as they are still active from the night. Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and a siesta getting an opportunity to read rest or take a refreshing shower.

As soon as the day starts to cool off another afternoon game drive follows afternoon tea, and good sightings are revisited or areas not yet explored are visited. Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game - the cats and large herbivores such as elephant, Kudu, wildebeests, and buffalo being a highlight, but rarer game such as Puku, Eland, Sable and Roan antelope along with many more common antelope can be viewed here.

The guests return to camp after sunset for a reflective fireside chat. Dinner follows, as always accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the stars.

DAY THREE

Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins. After a quick cup of tea or coffee and some cereal you head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats.

Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and an opportunity to take a refreshing shower. After packing up, you then leave the camp on your last activity which is usually another Boat cruise, to be dropped off in Kasane or Kazungula 16h30.
