Rongai Gate to Simba Camp

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast in Moshi, drive toward the Rongai Gate on the northeastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After completing registration and meeting the mountain crew, begin the trek through cultivated land and montane forest. The trail gradually climbs toward Simba Camp, where you will spend your first night on the mountain. Distance: approximately 8 km Trekking time: 3–4 hours Altitude: 2,020 m → 2,625 m

Simba Camp to Kikelelwa Cave Camp

Continue through the moorland zone as the landscape becomes more open, with spectacular views across the Kenyan plains. The trail passes through the Rongai wilderness before joining the higher slopes of Kilimanjaro. Continue toward Kikelelwa Cave Camp, where you will rest and prepare for the higher elevations ahead. Kikelelwa Cave Camp to Mawenzi Camp

A relatively short but steeper trek takes you toward the dramatic Mawenzi volcanic landscape. As you climb higher, vegetation becomes increasingly sparse and the scenery more alpine. Arrive at Mawenzi Tarn Camp, situated beneath the spectacular peaks of Mawenzi, and spend the afternoon resting and acclimatizing. Mawenzi Tarn Camp to Kibo Hut

Leave Mawenzi behind and cross the high-altitude saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo. The landscape changes into an alpine desert with little vegetation. Continue toward Kibo Hut, the final camp before the summit attempt. After an early dinner, rest as much as possible in preparation for the midnight or early-morning ascent. Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo

Begin the summit attempt during the night, climbing slowly toward Gilman's Point at approximately 5,681 m. Continue along the crater rim toward Stella Point before proceeding to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 m. After celebrating your summit achievement and taking photographs, begin the descent toward Kibo Hut and continue down to Horombo Hut for an overnight stay. Distance: approximately 15–16 km Trekking time: 11–15 hours Altitude: 4,695 m → 5,895 m → 3,720 m

Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

After breakfast, descend through the beautiful Kilimanjaro rainforest toward Marangu Gate. Once at the gate, complete the final registration and receive your summit certificates. Meet your transfer vehicle and drive back to Moshi, marking the end of your Kilimanjaro adventure.The next day left for your next destination.
