Momella Gate → Miriakamba Hut

Arusha

Drive to Momella Gate and begin trekking with your guide and armed park ranger. Walk through grassland and montane forest, with opportunities to see wildlife before reaching Miriakamba Hut. Hiking: 4–6 hours Altitude: 1,500 m → 2,514 m Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Miriakamba Hut → Saddle Hut

Continue uphill through forest and giant heather to Saddle Hut. After lunch, take an optional short hike to Little Meru (3,820 m) for acclimatization and panoramic views. Hiking: 3–5 hours + optional Little Meru hike Altitude: 2,514 m → 3,570 m Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Saddle Hut

Socialist Peak → Momella Gate

Wake around midnight and begin the summit climb toward Rhino Point and Cobra Point, continuing along the crater rim to Socialist Peak. Reach the summit around sunrise, then descend through Saddle Hut and continue to Momella Gate. Transfer back to Arusha after the trek. Hiking: 10–14 hours Summit: 4,566 m Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
