Moshi – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubw

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and transferred to Londorossi Gate for registration and park formalities. From the gate, you will continue to the trailhead and begin your Kilimanjaro adventure through the beautiful montane rainforest. The trail is surrounded by lush vegetation and birdlife as you gradually ascend toward Mti Mkubwa Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 1 Camp

After breakfast, you will continue trekking through the rainforest as the vegetation gradually changes into heath and moorland. The trail becomes more open, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. You will continue toward Shira 1 Camp on the western side of the Shira Plateau, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Today you will explore the spectacular Shira Plateau on a relatively gentle hiking day. The trail crosses open moorland and offers magnificent views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding volcanic landscape. You will gradually make your way to Shira 2 Camp, where you will have time to rest and acclimatize before dinner and overnight.

Shira 2 Camp – Moir Hut

After breakfast, you will leave the Shira Plateau and continue toward the northern side of Kilimanjaro. The trail passes through an increasingly rugged alpine environment with impressive views of Kibo Peak. You will arrive at Moir Hut, a remote and peaceful campsite where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Moir Hut – Pofu Camp – Buffalo Camp

After breakfast, you will climb out of the Moir Valley and continue along the Northern Circuit. The trail passes through remote alpine landscapes and offers spectacular views toward the northern slopes and the Kenyan plains. You will pass through Pofu Camp before continuing to Buffalo Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Buffalo Camp – Rongai Third Cave Ca

Today you will continue your trek along the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro. The trail crosses several ridges and valleys while gradually gaining altitude. The area is quiet and less crowded, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful mountain environment. You will continue toward Third Cave Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Third Cave Camp – Kibo Hut

After breakfast, you will continue toward Kibo Peak across the broad alpine desert known as the Saddle. This area lies between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks and offers dramatic views of both volcanic cones. You will gradually approach Kibo Hut, where you will have dinner and rest in preparation for the summit attempt.

Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Crater Camp

You will wake up around midnight and begin the challenging ascent toward the summit. The climb takes you over steep and rocky terrain toward Gilman's Point and then along the crater rim toward Stella Point. From there, you will continue toward Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit and taking photographs, you will descend into the crater area and continue to Crater Camp for dinner and overnight.

Crater Camp – School Hut – Horombo

After breakfast, you will leave the crater area and begin your descent toward the eastern side of Kilimanjaro. The trail provides spectacular views of the mountain and surrounding landscape as you descend from the high-altitude zone. You will continue toward Horombo Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Horombo Camp – Kibo Hut / Mawenzi A

Kilimanjaro

Today provides an additional acclimatization and recovery day around the Horombo area. You may take a short guided hike toward the surrounding high-altitude landscape, depending on weather and your guide's recommendations. This extra day allows you to rest and enjoy the scenery before beginning your final descent from Kilimanjaro.

Horombo Camp

Horombo Camp – Marangu Gate – Moshi

After breakfast, you will begin your final descent through the beautiful montane rainforest toward Marangu Gate. Once you reach the gate, you will complete the park exit procedures and receive your summit certificate. You will then meet your driver and transfer back to your hotel in Moshi, where you can relax and celebrate your successful Kilimanjaro climb.
