Moshi – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubw

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and transferred to Londorossi Gate for registration and park formalities. From the gate, you will continue to the trailhead and begin your trek through the beautiful rainforest. The trail gradually climbs through lush vegetation and peaceful surroundings before reaching Mti Mkubwa Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 1 Camp

After breakfast, you will continue your trek as the rainforest gradually changes into heath and moorland. The landscape becomes more open as you climb higher, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. You will continue toward Shira 1 Camp, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Shira 1 Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Today you will trek across the spectacular Shira Plateau. The trail is relatively gentle, allowing you to enjoy the unique vegetation and magnificent views of Kibo Peak. You will gradually make your way to Shira 2 Camp, where you will have time to rest, acclimatize, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Shira 2 Camp – Lava Tower – Moir

After breakfast, you will begin trekking toward Lava Tower, reaching an altitude of approximately 4,600 metres before descending toward Moir Hut. This climb-high-and-sleep-lower approach provides valuable acclimatization. You will pass through the dramatic alpine desert landscape while enjoying spectacular views of Kilimanjaro. You will have dinner and spend the night at Moir Hut.

Moir Hut – Lent Hills – Buffalo Cam

After breakfast, you will climb out of the Moir Valley and continue toward Lent Hills, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. You will then continue along the Northern Circuit toward Buffalo Camp. The trail passes through a remote and rugged environment, offering an authentic wilderness experience and impressive views toward the northern plains.

Buffalo Camp – Third Cave Camp

Today you will continue trekking across the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro. The trail crosses ridges and valleys while gradually gaining altitude. The vegetation becomes increasingly sparse as you approach the high-altitude zone. You will eventually arrive at Third Cave Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Third Cave Camp – School Hut Camp

After breakfast, you will continue across the Saddle, the broad alpine desert area between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. The landscape becomes increasingly barren as you approach the summit zone. You will continue to School Hut Camp, where you will have an early dinner and rest. Your guide will provide a summit briefing and prepare you for the following day's adventure.

School Hut Camp – Crater Camp

Today you will begin your ascent toward the crater area. The trail leads toward the crater rim and continues into the spectacular volcanic landscape of Kilimanjaro. You will reach Crater Camp, located at approximately 5,700 metres, where you will spend the night. This unique experience allows you to stay within the crater area surrounded by dramatic volcanic scenery and glaciers. You will have dinner and rest in preparation for the summit attempt.

Crater Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Ca

You will begin your final ascent toward Uhuru Peak early in the morning. At 5,895 metres, Uhuru Peak is the highest point in Africa and the ultimate goal of your Kilimanjaro adventure. After reaching the summit, you will have time to celebrate and take photographs before beginning your descent. You will continue down the mountain toward Mweka Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will begin your final descent through the beautiful rainforest toward Mweka Gate. Once you reach the gate, you will complete the park exit procedures and receive your summit certificate. You will then meet your driver and transfer back to Moshi, where you can relax and celebrate your successful Kilimanjaro climb.
