Moshi – Marangu Gate – Mandara Hut

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Moshi and transferred to Marangu Gate. After completing registration and park formalities, begin your trek through the lush rainforest. Along the way, you may encounter monkeys, birds and beautiful tropical vegetation. Continue to Mandara Hut, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Trekking distance: approximately 8 km Trekking time: 3–4 hours Altitude: 1,860 m – 2,720 m

Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut – Kibo Hu

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, continue through the moorland toward Horombo Hut, enjoying views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. After a short break and lunch, continue toward Kibo Hut through the alpine desert landscape. Arrive at Kibo in the afternoon, have dinner and rest in preparation for the summit attempt. Trekking distance: approximately 22 km Trekking time: 8–10 hours Altitude: 2,720 m – 4,703 m

KIBO HUT

Kibo Hut – Uhuru Peak – Horombo Hut

Begin the summit attempt around midnight. Trek slowly through the darkness toward Gilman's Point on the crater rim. Continue toward Stella Point and then onward to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters, the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit, take time to celebrate and enjoy the spectacular views before descending to Kibo Hut for a short rest. Continue down to Horombo Hut for dinner and overnight.

HOROMBO HUT

Horombo Hut – Marangu Gate – Moshi

After breakfast, begin your final descent through the beautiful rainforest to Marangu Gate. Complete the park exit procedures and receive your summit certificate. You will then be transferred back to Moshi, marking the end of your 4 Days Group Budget Kilimanjaro Climb via Marangu Route.
