After breakfast, begin your scenic journey south through Rwanda’s breathtaking countryside, passing rolling green hills, terraced farms, colourful villages and bustling markets. Stop in Butare to explore Rwanda’s cultural heritage, then visit the King’s Palace in Nyanza and its magnificent Inyambo cattle. Continue towards Nyungwe National Park. Arrive at your forest lodge, where the sounds of the rainforest create the perfect setting to relax and prepare for tomorrow's adventure.

Rise early for breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing. Trek through Nyungwe’s ancient rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzees, guided by your experienced ranger. After lunch and relaxation, explore the beautiful Kamiranzovu Waterfall on a guided nature walk before returning to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Enjoy breakfast before departing for the beautiful lakeside town of Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu. Arrive in time for lunch and check into your lakeside accommodation.
