February is one of the best months for an Ndutu calving season safari. The fresh grass attracts wildebeest, zebras, Thomson’s gazelles and other grazing animals. Lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas and jackals are frequently active around the herds, creating excellent opportunities for wildlife observation and photography. Although wildlife movements and actual births cannot be guaranteed, your local guide will use recent sightings and knowledge of the area to locate the most productive game-viewing zones.

Your safari explores Lake Ndutu, Lake Masek, the surrounding woodland, marshes and open plains extending between the northern Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Southern Serengeti. These connected habitats support both migrating herds and resident wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and numerous bird species.

Two nights are spent at Ndutu Heritage Camp, a comfortable midrange tented camp positioned within the wider Ndutu ecosystem. Depending on availability, Ndutu Safari Lodge or another comparable midrange Ndutu camp may be offered. Staying inside the wildlife area reduces unnecessary transfers and gives you more time for early-morning and late-afternoon game drives.

The tour begins and ends in Arusha, with pickup from selected Arusha hotels. Pickup from Moshi or transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport can be arranged on request. Park fees, private safari transport, full-board accommodation, game drives, drinking water and the services of a professional driver-guide are included.
