Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your accommodation, drive to Tarangire National Park, located on the Great Rift Valley floor. The park features rolling hills, acacia woodlands, giant baobabs, and southern swamps along the Tarangire River—a vital water source drawing huge animal concentrations during the dry season. Tarangire is world-famous for housing some of Africa's largest elephant herds. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch followed by an afternoon game drive before settling into your comfortable lodge.

After breakfast, drive into the fertile highlands where local farmers cultivate wheat, coffee, and corn. After breakfast you will head out for an en-route game drive through the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard before embarking on your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day open grassland and an infinite number of animals.

Very early in the morning, descend down to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on Earth, nicknamed the Garden of Eden since it is inhabited by both animals and human beings. After lunch inside the crater, drive up the steep road out of the crater and return to Arusha. You will arrive back in Arusha at 5:00 pm where, according to your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport.
