Day 1: Fly to Bwindi & Batwa Commun
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge and transferred to Kajjansi Airstrip for your flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Board your chartered or scheduled flight and settle in for a scenic journey over Uganda's lush countryside—patchwork hills, winding rivers, and traditional villages unfold beneath you as you approach the misty peaks of the Albertine Rift. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer
Wake early and enjoy breakfast before heading to Bwindi's park headquarters for a briefing by your ranger guide. Here, you'll learn about the rules and guidelines for gorilla trekking and receive your assigned gorilla family. Then, the adventure begins. You'll enter the Impenetrable Forest, where the air hums with the sounds of birds and unseen creatures. The trek through dense, ancient woodland can take anywhere from two to six hours, depending on the gorillas' location.
