Your driver-guide meets you in Kigali for the scenic road transfer through Rwanda and across the border into Uganda. Continue to Nkuringo in southern Bwindi and check in at Orugano Bwindi Lodge. Relax, enjoy dinner and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trek. Meal plan: dinner.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing point for your assigned Bwindi gorilla trek. Follow the ranger-guided trail to a habituated gorilla family and spend the permitted hour observing them. Return to Orugano Bwindi Lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: full board.

Mgahinga
Depart Orugano Bwindi Lodge at about 6:00 AM for the roughly two-hour drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. After the park briefing, track golden monkeys through the bamboo forest with the ranger team. Return to Orugano Bwindi Lodge the same day for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: full board.
