About Orugano Safaris

Orugano Safaris is a Uganda-based destination management company, locally owned and operated from Nkuringo beside Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We create private, tailor-made safaris across Uganda and Rwanda, specialising in gorilla trekking, Kigali–Bwindi road trips, fly-in safaris, gorilla habituation, chimpanzee tracking and wildlife-plus-primate routes. Our local team coordinates permits, private transport, guides and accommodation around each traveller’s dates, pace and interests. We also operate Orugano Bwindi Lodge near the Nkuringo briefing point, giving guests direct on-the-ground support in southern Bwindi while recommending other sectors or lodges when they fit the permit and route better. From short gorilla trips to higher-value private and small-group journeys, we build each itinerary around workable logistics rather than a fixed template. Orugano Safaris Limited is licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB/RTT/TT/2025/101604).

About our safari vehicles

Safari transport is matched to the route and party size. Available options include a 7-seat extended Toyota Land Cruiser, a short-wheelbase Toyota Land Cruiser for up to 3 guests and a safari van for up to 7 guests. We confirm the vehicle type with the itinerary, taking account of road conditions, group size and luggage.
