After meeting your Kilimanjaro Unforgettable guide, you’ll head to Africa Amini Maasai Lodge, just outside Arusha. Run by the local Maasai, it combines comfort with authentic culture. In the afternoon, join Maasai-led activities like nature walks, learning about local plants, trying out spear throwing, or making crafts. It’s a fun and meaningful way to connect with the local way of life.

Tarangire

After breakfast in Arusha, you’ll drive about two hours to Tarangire National Park, passing Masai villages and wide open plains. Once inside the park, the game drive begins-golden savannah, giant baobabs, and animals around the Tarangire River. Elephants, zebras, antelopes, even lions and leopards may appear. Enjoy a picnic by the river (watch out for cheeky monkeys!) before heading to your lodge for the night.

Tarangire Ndovu Tented Camp

You’ll start early today to join the Hadzabe bushmen on a real hunt. They’re one of Africa’s last hunter-gatherer tribes, living much like they always have. You’ll watch how they track, lure, and hunt using handmade tools and techniques passed down through generations. Later, meet the Datoga, skilled farmers and metalworkers. After a day full of culture and action, enjoy a picnic before heading to Lake Manyara for the night.
