Day 1

Queen Elizabeth

DAY 1: KAMPALA – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK You will be picked from your hotel and drive you on the southbound road connecting to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have a stop over at the royal drum makers, take photographs at the Equator and then descend to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, keeping an eye out for game. After checking in you will go for an afternoon game drive to Kasenyi Area of the Park. Dinner and overnight at Katara Lodge/Simba safari Camp.

Day 2

DAY 2: CHIMP TRACKING After breakfast have an excursion to Kyambura gorge to track chimpanzees. Expect to see other primates including, Black and white Colobus monkeys and other animals like antelopes, hyenas, Lion and many others in the middle of savanna grassland. Return to the lodge for lunch and a chance to relax before taking an afternoon boat trip along Kazinga channel. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3

Bwindi Impenetrable

DAY 3: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI  After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest passing either via Ishasha, the home of the tree climbing lion, or take the alternative route through cultivated expanses. Overnight at Engagi Lodge/Gorilla Resort/Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 4

DAY 4: BWINDI MOUNTAIN GORILLAS Before 8:00 am report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by one of the rangers; the guides will then take you through the bush pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. In the afternoon (if time permits, take a guided walk on the Munyaga River trail, which is an ideal short walk. Here you may see birds and primates from the forest edge or take a guided village walk - see how the Ugandans live. Overnight at Engagi Lodge/Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 5

Lake Mburo

DAY 5:  BWINDI - LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK After breakfast you will depart for Lake Mburo National Park. This scenic drive will take you to Mbarara where you will stop for lunch before making the final descent to Lake Mburo National Park. This Park is an extension of the Tanzanian plains with big herds of zebra, impala, eland and other ungulates. Bird viewing opportunities are excellent - for birders, this is one of the best places to find African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike. Overnight at Luxury Mantana Tented camp/Basic Rwonyo Rest Camp. 

Day 6

DAY 6: LAKE MBURO - KAMPALA After breakfast take a morning game drive. Expect to see Zebras, Impalas, water bark, Topi among others. Enjoy your return journey back to Kampala having your lunch enroute.
