Itinerary

Day 1

Victoria Falls | Zambezi

Day 1 & 2: Meet and greet at Victoria Falls Airport upon arrival followed by a transfer by road to your lodge in Victoria Falls. The evening will be spent enjoyed a specially arranged outdoor dinner. The following morning you will be collected from your lodge and taken on a scheduled tour of the Falls. The rest of your day will be at your leisure to relax or to partake in any of the many activities on offer at Victoria Falls including bungee jumping and white water rafting. The day will conclude with a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River where you will have the opportunity to watch hippos wallow in the water and crocodiles bask under the warm African sun. Day 3

Hwange | Victoria Falls

Day 3 - 5: Today your driver will transfer you to Victoria Falls Airport for your light aircraft flight to Hwange National Park and to Little Makalolo Camp. Makalolo is one of the best areas for seeing impressive herds of buffalo and elephant as well as apex predators such as lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah. Other general game is very abundant in the Park. Activities on offer include daily game activities including game drives in open 4x4 vehicles or guided walks in the early mornings and evenings. There are also village visits on offer. Day 6

Mana Pools

Day 6 - 8: Today you will be flown by light aircraft to Mana Pools National Park. At approximately 2pm your guide will meet you for a safety briefing before all canoeists start paddling downstream in sturdy Canadian canoes to the mobile camp. After a relatively easy distance of 10 to 11 kilometres you will arrive at the camp which will already have been set up for you. On the 2 days that follow you will be awoken before dawn with tea/coffee and biscuits in order to get onto the water before sunrise. This is a truly magical time on the river as it is usually calm and peaceful. After paddling for 2 hours the canoes will be beached on the river banks and you will get out on foot for a walking safari. Lunch is normally had a bit further up the river and normally consists of cold meats and salad. It is then time to relax in the shade before the last bit of canoeing takes you to your campsite for the evening. Everything will all have been set up for you by the camp staff and all you have to do is have a shower and enjoy dinner and drinks under the stars. Day 9

Mana Pools | Zambezi

Day 9 - 11: Today you will move on to Mana Pools National Park and your stay at Ruckomechi Camp. The camp is situated in the western boundary of the park in a large grove of Acacia and Mahogany trees overlooking the Zambezi River with a superb view of the mountains of Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Elephants are often seen swimming in front of the camp and predators including lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah as well as large herds of buffalo and other game can be seen along the river’s edge or in the surrounding plains.
