Itinerary

Day 2

Lower Zambezi | Victoria Falls | Zambezi

Day 2 & 3: Today you will be transferred to Sindabezi Island today. An idyllic, exclusive camp on our very own private isle on the Zambezi River it is the only luxury bush camp in the Victoria Falls region and in 2008 was selected by The Sunday Times in London as one of the best remote places to stay in the world. During your stay you can spend today at the Victoria Falls, go for a morning boat cruise on the Zambezi or ask the team to assist you in organising white water rafting or a swim in the Devil’s Pools (both seasonal activities). You could also go canoeing, visit the nearby local village, fish, have lunch on a private island or participate in a game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. 2 nights in Sindabezi Island, Zambezi National Park Mahlatini recommends the following accommodation: Sindabezi Private Camp in an Island Chalet (AI) - See more accommodation options in Lower Zambezi

Day 4

South Luangwa

Day 4 & 5: Today you will you will be transferred back to Livingstone Airport for your flight to Mfuwe in the South Luangwa National Park. You will be met at Mfuwe by staff from Kapani Lodge and driven to camp where the honeymoon suite will have been prepared and you will have time to settle in before brunch. That evening your guide will introduce you to one of Africa’s finest National Parks, renowned for its variety of wildlife the Luangwa never fails to impress. After dark you will search for predators on the prowl and the myriad of smaller nocturnal animals that make these night drives so interesting. Dinner is served in different locations each night. You will have the choice of eating with other camp guests or in secluded privacy perhaps on the verandah of your room or on the deck overlooking the lagoon. 2 nights in South Luangwa National Park Mahlatini recommends the following accommodation: Kapani Lodge in the Honeymoon Suite (AI) - See more accommodation options in South Luangwa

Day 6

South Luangwa

Day 6 - 9: The South Luangwa is regarded as the home of the walking safari and it was Norman Carr himself who first took tourists through the bush on foot back in the 1940s. Although Norman passed away in 1996 the company he left behind still sets the standard for walking safaris that other operators strive to meet. For your first two days you will move from Kapani to the first of your remote bush camp accommodations from where you will experience your first proper walking safari. Game viewing activities from either Luwi or Nsolo bush camps are mostly on foot although game drives and night drives are always an option. On the third day you will transfer to your next bush camp, either walking or driving (or a combination of both). You will arrive in time for brunch. You’ll have two full days here exploring the South Luangwa and all it has to offer. Kakuli or Mchenja offer both walking and driving safaris. 3 nights in South Luangwa National Park Mahlatini recommends the following accommodation: Luwi Bush Camps in a Hut (AI) Nsolo Bush Camps in a Chalet (AI) Kakuli Bush Camps in a Tent with thatched roof (AI) Mchenja Bush Camps in a Traditional Safari Tent (AI) - See more accommodation options in South Luangwa

Day 10

Lake Malawi

Day 10 - 12: Today you will transfer from your bush camp to Mfuwe Airport. Your flight will take you via Lilongwe and onto Likoma Island in the midst of the crystal clear waters of Lake Malawi. Kaya Mawa (meaning “maybe tomorrow”) is situated at the southern tip surrounded by mango trees and ancient baobabs. You have two full days to enjoy the splendour of this luxurious and peaceful beach resort. There are plenty of activities to be enjoyed both on and under the water. Lake Malawi is Africa’s 3rd largest lake and is home to a wide variety of aquatic life - the clear waters around Likoma Island are excellent for diving and snorkelling. The Island itself has plenty of treats in store and you are free to explore on foot, by bicycle or on quad bikes. 3 nights at Lake Malawi Mahlatini recommends the following accommodation: Kaya Mawa in a Standard room (AI) - See more accommodation options in Llusaka

Day 13

Day 13: Today you will be flown to Lilongwe Airport for your onward flight.
