Saunterland Africa

This safari in Kenya was to discover the parks in Kenya. We were referred by a family couple who had taken a safari with Saunterland in March. We started off by reaching out to James via email who was responsive and helped us plan the safari. We started off with 3 day safari in the Northern part of Kenya in Samburu. It was an interesting safari seeing the special animals that we discovered were endemic to that area. We then headed out to Olpejeta for a 2 day exploration. It is a good conservancy with a chimpanzee sanctuary (learnt that is the only place you can see chimps in Kenya). Olpejeta is also home to the remaining Northern white rhinos.

We then headed out for an overnight at Lake Elementaita for a birding experience. We stayed at the luxurious Elementaita camp. The lake at that time was flocked with a good number of flamingoes. There are many other bird species. We then headed out to Masai Mara which was a fascinating experience. We experienced crossing of the wildebeests at the Masai Mara, game hunt by cheetahs, saw all the big five and loads of animals. Our stay was at Ashnil camp was superb-nice food, friendly staff and good facilities.

We ended our safari with a visit to Lake Naivasha. We made a walking safari in the Crescent Island. We did a boat ride to and from Crescent Island which also took us to the hippos site. Our stay was at the luxury Lake Naivasha Sopa resort. A good hotel on the banks of the lake and has animals roaming in its compound.

In summary, this was a safari beyond our expectations. Jeremy was a professional and knowledgeable guide. He was friendly and went an extra mile to make the safari a success. Cant thank him enough! Our regards also goes to James. He was patient with us and our endless questions. I can attest Saunterland team is going far and can recommend them for anybody seeking a safari in Kenya.

Just finished my tour in Kenya. My family undertook a safari in Masai Mara and Lake Elementaita and flew to Diani beach for a 3-night stay. The safari was well organized, thanks to James and his team for making our safari a dream come true.

Masai Mara is great with many wild animals. Lake Elementaita was awesome with large populations of flamingoes. The services at Serena camps were incredible. Simon our driver guide was cheerful and professional. Diani beach is a nice place. The beach is clean and the beach resort facilities were great. I recommend Saunterland team for any traveller !

I would say this was the best trip I have had. We combined a 4 days safari in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and everything was beyond our expectation. John, who was our safari guide driver, was knowledgeable about the animals and parks. He went an extra mile to make sure we saw every big five animal up close. The 4*4 Landcruiser we used was luxurious and comfortable and roof opening ensured we got good sightings of many animals. I would highly recommend booking a safari trip with the company to other people.

I made a day safari to Amboseli with my wife to commemorate our 4th anniversary, thanks to James for making it successful. We contacted James two weeks to the safari day and he was quick to respond to my emails. Then there was John, the guy who was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about animals, their behaviours and it was so epic seeing Mt.Kilimanjaro.

It was a great day to us thumbs up to Saunterland Africa Tours!!

My husband and I made a trip to Masai Mara National Reserve. Our 3-day safari was one of a kind. John is a cheerful driver and has a great understanding of wild animals. It was fun circling in Mara in search of hiding animals like the leopards. We were able to spot all the big five animals, plus many other animals. We also visited the Masai village where we learnt more about the Masai people and their culture. We really thank John of Saunterland Africa tour company for giving us the best safari and look forward to engaging him next year.
