About Mokore Eco Safaris
Mokore Safaris is found in the heart of the Savé Valley Conservancy in the South East Lowveld. The Camp is nestled on the banks of the Turgwe River under a canopy of giant Nyala Berry trees. Spectacular views are on offer from the wooden deck attached to the dining area & comfort found in the stone-under-thatch chalets. We are connected to mains-electricity with a backup generator. Activities include: Self-guided/Guided game drives; Guided bush walks; Fishing & Visits of the Umkondo Mine Ruins.
About our safari vehicles
Mokore Safaris is perfect for 4x4 enthusiasts as there are numerous bush trails. We allow our guests to self-drive their own vehicle with guidance of a game scout. Mokore Safaris has a open game-viewing cruiser which can be hired on a daily rate, however this is subject to availability.

Had the most amazing time at this beautiful place. One of Zim's best kept secrets! World class, friendly service. Lodges were spotless and perfectly placed overlooking the Turgwe river. Amazing selection of wildlife and plenty of bird life, vultures included! We saw lion, cheetah and leopard all in one day together with a whole host of other plains game. Over the 4 days, saw the big 5. Worth visiting the BIG baobab and heading up to Sunset Hill early evening for the most incredible views - 360 degrees as far as the eye can see. Good place to recharge the batteries, will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

We visited the Mokore Safari site in September 2018. The experience was as unique as it was memorable.

We were greeted with warmth and a special friendliness by a very caring staff. The immediate impression of Mokore is indelibly entrenched in our memories. It boasts a rustic setting nestled high on the river bank which provides a magnificent vista and vantage point to view endless ventures of thirsty plains games and the occasional troop of baboons leap frogging across the water! The game drives en route to the new photographic camp yielded sightings of wild dogs, elephants, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, impala, buffalo, kudu and all types of plains game. But the highlight was probably the incredible, rugged terrain of multiple granite oletcrops and steep embarkments which provides a special haven for countless bird species including raptors and, as we witnessed, an awesome pair of black eagle.

The new camp, also very tastefully situated on a river bank, is as remote as it is inviting as a unique and comfortable refuge. This is a birdwatchers paradise. It is also a perfect hideout for bird and animal photographers with a range of delights to capture and treasure. We will be back

A fantastic stay with Mokore Safaris at their Gwezi Fly Camp – a “just being African” experience. Here, we fully appreciated the sights and sounds of the Zimbabwean bush: waking each morning to a breathtakingly pink sun, with the minstrel calls of a Heugelin's Robin (white-browed robin-shrike); and ending each day with a blood-red sunset and an ice-cold Zambezi beer. Between times, we were lucky enough to see some of the Big Five, but just missed the resident African Wild Dog pack. Great camping site (with “wall-to-wall” ablutions and “eye-level grill”); spectacularly rugged scenery (replete with matriarchal baobabs); and warm hospitality everywhere. Kings envied us!
