Turning a dream into a reality

Views: 656 Visited: Sep 2017 Reviewed: Oct 12, 2017

Working with e-Trip Africa could not have been easier. From the quick response to our first email until the last goodbye, everything was seamless. I was stunned when after several emails, Ben Jennings asked to set a time to call me to better help plan our safari. Ben was kind, patient, and informative as he listened to and answered my unending questions. His response to emails was timely. If he was busy and unable to respond completely, Ben wo... read more

Uganda Tour - Primates, safari and relaxation!

Views: 1114 Visited: Oct 2016 Reviewed: Nov 03, 2016

E-Trip Africa organised an amazing 2 week tour of Uganda for us. Starting in Kibale, the Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi, Mburo and finally Wildwaters Lodge on the Nile.

The whole trip was brilliant, and felt like a bespoke tour tailored to exactly what we wanted. Ben answered our many e mails and enquiries quickly and organised everything just how we wanted it.

Our driver/guide David was a real pleasure to be with and very knowledgeable. It ... read more

A tale of three countries: Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania

Views: 977 Visited: Feb 2015 Reviewed: Mar 18, 2015

ETrip Africa did it again, this time Ben handed my itinerary over to Aurelie (with whom I summitted Kili in 2013) and she did a superb job of organizing a three country itinerary for me this past February 2015. This itinerary took me on a guided road trip with my Ugandan guide Alex Guma through Rwandan hills, trekking chimps, kayaking a lovely lake, trekking gorillas and chimps in Uganda and seeing wildlife along a long channel full of hippos... read more

East Africa tour of a lifetime

Views: 879 Visited: Oct 2014 Reviewed: Jan 12, 2015

The bottom line: this is a glowing review of a longer than average trip (38 days) that was thoughtfully planned, meticulously arranged, and expertly executed. I have attempted to write the review I wanted to read when I was researching this. That is, one that contains information allowing me to relate our situation and desires to the experience of the reviewer so that we could make an educated decision. I’ve tried to break it into separate d... read more

Unforgettable safari

Views: 796 Visited: Jul 2014 Reviewed: Sep 02, 2014

E-Trip Africa organized a mind blowing tour to Tanzania and Rwanda for us this summer. The manager Ben and our Guide Rajai were at the airport to greet us when we arrived and joined us for a welcome dinner in Arusha at Arusha Coffee Lodge, which is a beautiful lodge located in a Coffee Plantation just outside of Arusha. We spent two nights at Arusha Coffee Lodge in order to recover from the long flight. On the “recovery” day, Ben joined us for... read more

Kilimanjaro summitted thanks to Davis

I am a Catholic priest and was giving a retreat to Mother Teresa's sisters in Kenya when I thought it would be nice to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. After contacting five recommended safari operators, I chose E-Trip Africa because the manager, Ben, called me back within a few hours and talked honestly with me. I've been greatly impressed by how he runs the company: he's a man of honor and integrity and is not out to make a lot of money, but to share ... read more

A perfect 50th Birthday Trek

Views: 655 Visited: Feb 2014 Reviewed: Jun 09, 2014

For my 50th birthday, I wanted to do something very special. I had never done anything big and I realized it was now or never. Well there is nothing bigger than Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. Little did I imagine how life-changing a trip up Mount Kilimanjaro could be. After tons of research, I cautiously chose E-Trip Africa to run my trek. You are putting your life into someone else’s hands, so this is quite a big decision. I could not have bee... read more

The East Africa Experts

Since I was a child, I had dreamt of traveling to Africa. But life passes and those dreams fade. On my 50th birthday, I realized that life was passing quickly and I was missing out, which was my reminder of my dreams of African elephants and the Snows of Kilimanjaro.

I happened to get the contact of E-Trip Africa by a chance encounter at business dinner. On first contact, they listened to what I had dreamt about. And after a few days t... read more

The Lemosho Route: An Amazing Experience!

Views: 695 Visited: Aug 2013 Reviewed: Dec 12, 2013

Embarking on a journey as daunting as Mt Kilimanjaro took a degree of level headedness in almost every stage, from choosing a travel company to gear selection to final summit night courage, but the reward of Uhuru Peak and the view from the Roof of Africa makes every test more than worth it. The best piece of advice I could give anyone contemplating the climb is to have confidence in every decision you make let this carry you to the top!

Personal, professional, competent, and simply marvelous.

Any time you start planning a trip to Africa, and in this case I chose Tanzania if for no other reason than I'd already taken myself to South Africa several times as well as Botswana, it's a bit of a crap shoot. I always buy a Lonely Planet guide, which in this case wasn't as useful as other countries, for the simple fact that the best places to go require guides. To wit, the Southern Circuit, Kilimanjaro and then there are innumerable little ... read more

Never Thought We Could Get So Close!!

I have wanted to see the wildlife of Africa since a child and eTrip Africa made my dream come true! I gave them list of species I wanted to see, and they designed a trip for me. We did several parks in Kenya, including Lake Bogoria and Masai Mara, and in Tanzania, including Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and then made a quick side trip to Uganda to see mountain gorillas. The wildlife were incredible...anything I wanted to see was found for me! ... read more

Traveling Solo in Tanzania

Views: 442 Visited: Jun 2013 Reviewed: Oct 01, 2013

I spent a great month in Tanzani last June. I arrived with out any plans as I usually do when I travel. Come to find out this is not any easy place to make plans, especially if you are traveling alone. Anyway, I ended up doing quite a lot. It was all about finding the right people.

I joined a group for a Kilimanjaro trek on the Machame 7 day route. The trek was great, but it was much more crowded than I had ever imagined. Luckly I m... read more

Short visit to Tarangire and Ngorongoro

My partner and I recently returned from a conference in Arusha and had the opportunity to visit Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro on a short trip organized by E-Trip Africa. Tarangire is a fabulous park - we saw numerous elephant, 5 lions with 3 cubs, several herds of zebra, impala and wildebeest, and even a rare leopard on a "sausage tree"!

We then continued to Ngorongoro where we spent the night on the crater rim, so that we could g... read more

A delightful family safari in Kenya

My family and I had a delightful trip to Kenya in early August of this year. We traveled with E-Trip Africa, who came highly recommended from one of the teachers at my daughter’s school, Mr. Jennings. Turns out his son owns and manages E-Trip, which was nice having that personal recommendation.

We were met at Nairobi by our guide Moses and the manager Ben. Since the flights were so long it made sense to spend two nights in Nairobi to get... read more

Kenya: Wildlife and amazing people

For years I had dreams of an African Safari. In 2009 I started doing some research to plan the trip. I was put off a bit because the prices were so high. So I took an extra part-time job to save up the extra cash needed to make it a perfect trip. Then in 2012 we started doing the research again and it took us a while to find the right company, we sent emails to some 50 safari companies we found on this site and on TripAdvisor. We told the... read more

Mt. Kilimanjaro -- Bucket List -- Check

I was part of a group of 5 people that climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro by the Lemosho Route, during 9 days. I was not sure how the trip would go as everyone in our group is getting up there in age. But this is why we selected the long trek. And based on the advice of the tour Manager we added a day to relax around Moshi. It was also a great experience. We got to visit a school and a very nice hot springs.

Anyway, our guide August was very prof... read more

I don't usually like spend time writing reviews unless I either get very good or very bad service.

e Trip's Africa firstly gave us the best quote after I email at least 10 companies. I didn't waste time negotiating with them because there price was extremely reasonable. This is a company who will help you find the best holiday/trip/adventure for you at a good price!

On arrival in Kenya we were actually given a mobile phone, by our guide,... read more
