About TopaTanzania

TopaTanzania is a safari company based in Arusha, Tanzania, running private, Maasai-guided safaris in the northern circuit: the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Every safari is private. You travel in your own 4x4 Land Cruiser with your own guide, nobody else is put in your vehicle, and the day is built around what you want to see and what the morning brings, not a fixed timetable. Our itineraries run from a one-day Maasai cultural exchange to an eight-day family safari, including a 5-day Great Migration safari, a 6-day photographic safari and a 7-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro grand safari. Every itinerary is a starting point: change the length, the route, the pace, the camps or the dates, or start from a blank page and we will build the trip around you. The cultural day is arranged weeks ahead with a named host household in the guide's own community, and the fee is paid directly to the household and the community fund. There is no staged dancing and no curio stop, and photographs are taken only where the person in them has agreed. We plan honestly around the season. Wildlife movement is never a guarantee, so we tell you plainly what is realistic for your dates, and we reply to every enquiry within one business day (Monday to Saturday, 08:00 to 18:00 East Africa Time).

About our safari vehicles

4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers with a pop-up roof for game viewing. We cap every vehicle at six guests against seven seats, so everyone has a window and nobody sits in the middle. Each vehicle carries a cooler, charging points, binoculars, wildlife reference books, a first-aid kit, a radio and a satellite phone, and is serviced on a fixed schedule. Every safari includes flying-doctor evacuation cover.
