Beyond Apes Safaris is a Uganda-based boutique specialist focused on primate-led journeys across East and Central Africa. We design private safaris built around gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking & rare primate encounters not as add-ons, but as the defining focus of the experience. This allows our journeys to feel more immersive, intentional & distinct from traditional safari itineraries. Each itinerary is carefully structured to balance time in the forest with select wildlife extensions in Kenya, Tanzania & Southern Africa creating journeys that combine the depth of primate encounters with the scale of classic African safaris. Operating from within the region, we provide strong on-ground coordination and hands-on oversight, ensuring that every aspect of the journey from permits to guiding and logistics is managed with precision.
