About East Africa Safari Guides

East Africa Safari Guides is a locally owned safari company based in Arusha, Tanzania, founded in 2021. We plan and guide private safaris across Tanzania and Kenya, along with Kilimanjaro climbs, for travellers who would rather know a place than tick it off. Our approach is The Luxury of Time: fewer camps, longer stays, and days set by the wildlife rather than the clock. Every safari is private, built around your pace, with one dedicated guide from arrival to departure. Our guides’ knowledge of this land is inherited, not studied, and they share it the way a host shares a home. We travel with honeymooners, couples, families and milestone celebrations, and also run small group departures and ground operations for overseas outfitters. Prices start from your budget, not a fixed list. Around ninety percent of our team is local. Depth over Distance. That is the safari we offer.

About our safari vehicles

We use two types of 4x4 safari vehicle, chosen to suit the parks you visit and the way you like to travel. CLOSED VEHICLE WITH POP-UP ROOF Our main safari vehicle has a roof that lifts, so you can stand for an open, all-round view while staying shaded from the sun. It seats six, but we suggest four or five guests so everyone has a window seat, room to move and a clear view when the action is on one side. Closed sides keep out dust and rain, which makes it comfortable on long drives between parks. OPEN-SIDED VEHICLE With no windows or walls between you and the bush, this vehicle brings you closer to the sounds, scents and light of the plains. It is ideal for photography and for travellers who want to feel fully part of the landscape. Every safari is private, with one vehicle and one dedicated guide for your party. Tell us your preference and we will match the vehicle to your itinerary.
