Wild Portraits Safari is a top notch tour operator! My partner and I just came back from an 11 day safari with James as our guide in various areas within Kenya.

Firstly, through multiple online engagements with James and the company via emails, they were extremely patient with my many questions and requests and sought to cater the trip to my demands.

During the trip itself, James, as our guide, was extremely helpful and friendly. He always sought to make sure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves to the best of his ability. Beyond that, his clear passion for wildlife, photography and advocacy for people is apparent. We’ve also had multiple meaningful conversations on various topics including conservation, ethics, wildlife management and more. These conversations weren’t just mentally stimulating, they also showed the ground realities of the wildlife and the lives of everyday Kenyans.

On a side note, if you are really looking for a photographic safari, I would definitely recommend James. He was always thinking ahead and trying to place us in the best positions for the best lights and pointing out various sightings and compositions that could work out as a beautiful image.

All in all, the experience with James and Wild Portraits Safari was nothing short of exceptional and top-tier. Would highly recommend!

Earlier this month, I completed my second safari adventure to Kenya. Both trips, I hired James Muchina at Wild Portraits Safari’s as the guide. It’s hard to imagine a better experience. The enthusiasm and knowledge that James brings to the safari is amazing.
If you’re looking to build a custom safari; one that is tailored to your interests and made with James experience, contact him.

My parents and I went to Kenya and did a 9 day safari with Tim and James’ support. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience, on all levels. We got to see and learn so much and Tim will stay forever in our hearts.
James is very professional, kind and available, selected perfect stays and made sure we were happy all along. You meet some guides along the trip that are not the most respectful towards nature. The wild portrait crew is quite the opposite, passionate, super knowledgeable and in love with the wildlife. They teach us how to behave, respect and understand nature to enjoy its beauty even better. We saw every animals and landscapes we could wish for and beyond.
This is all we wanted and we strongly recommend it.
