About Far and Wide Tours

We offer two main fields of interest: 1. Wildflower tours / safaris for serious enthusiasts / hobby botanists, and 2, tours and wildlife safaris of general interest, from Cape Town to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe). The average tour duration is between two and three weeks, the groups are small with maximum eight passengers. We conduct tours in a number of (European) languages, primarily in English and German. The flower tours depend, to a large extent, on seasons and areas traveled. Other tours are flexible to suit the traveller's time table and requirements, and can be undertaken all year round. South Africa experiences "winter" from May to August which, it is often said better than a European summer. Some areas receive snow at times, while temperatures are largely comfortable. In the south-west, the Cape provinces, "winter" brings some rain with lots of sunshine and green fields. In the north it's sunny and dry during "winter", from May through October. Ideal to travel year-round.

About our safari vehicles

Currently (March 2021): we have one Hyundai SUV 4x4 to suit max. 4 passengers, and one VW Minibus to suit max. 8 passengers. In Namibia we cooperate with a local tour operator.
