Safari summary
In this tour you will cover the 3 most popular destinations in Tanzania - Tarangire National Park, Central Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater. You will experience game drives, nature, crater game drives, and bird watching with overnight stays in mid-range safari lodges with our experienced driver guides, it will be the trip of a lifetime!
During this 5 days safari, you will witness the world-renowned Serengeti, which is one of the most famous parks in Africa and is synonymous with wildlife and classic African scenery. It is Tanzania's oldest park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to the spectacular wildebeest migration and offers top-class wildlife viewing throughout the year. Depending on one’s interest in wildlife activities, different months come with different things to see and enjoy. The Serengeti is renowned for hosting an annual migration comprising at least 2.5 million wildebeest, plains zebra and gazelle – the greatest spectacle of its type in Africa – but the immense plains are also home to unusually dense populations of lion, leopard, cheetah and other predators while being possessed of a liberating sense of space best experienced on an early-morning balloon safari. A Serengeti safari trip will be a highlight of a visit to Tanzania.
Overall, wildlife watchers are better off timing their trip to coincide with the drier months (June to October). Aim for June and July if you can, as the incredible wildebeest migration usually tramples the plains at this time. If you're keen on seeing predators in action, visit in late January or February. This is the hiatus in the annual rains when the wildebeests calve.
