Explore two of Kenya's most exciting wildlife sanctuaries which include Amboseli & Masai Mara on this 6-day safari. Amboseli is great for seeing the peaks of Kilimanjaro on a bright cloudless morning; and Masai Mara is good for the big five, wildebeest migration (July / October), big cats, herbivores, carnivores and birds. You will have one domestic flight connecting you from Amboseli to Masai Mara. Game drives are conducted in a private 4x4 safari land cruiser in the company of an experienced tour driver guide. Accommodation is based on mid-range tented camps with all meals included. Accommodation upgrade can be arranged on special request.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Amboseli

Amboseli

Drive to Amboseli via Emali Town and Kimana Town arriving for lunch then embark on an afternoon game drive in the park, also known as the land of elephants and the Majestic Kilimanjaro. You will spend the afternoon enjoying game drives till sunset with a beautiful view of Kilimanjaro as the sun sets. Amboseli is also very good for seeing many elephants at the same time. In the evening you will be transferred back to the camp for dinner and overnight. Overnight & meals at Kibo Safari Camp

Day 2: Explore Amboseli

Amboseli

Early breakfast then morning game drive for a chance to see the animals and the mountain clearly when there is less cloud cover. The driver will drive you at a leisurely pace as you stop often to enable you watch animals, take pictures and enjoy bird watching. Picnic lunch during the game drives. Also drive to the observation hill where you will see a scenic aerial view of the park as you take photos and watch the animals at the nearby swamp.

Day 3: Fly to Masai Mara

Masai Mara

Early breakfast then check out for transfer to the airstrip to board the morning flight to Masai Mara at 0915hrs arriving at 1030hrs. Enjoy a mid-morning game drive with picnic lunch in the park. Continue with afternoon game drive in the park for a chance to spot the big five animals and bird species as well as many herbivores. As the sun sets in the evening, you are transferred back to the camp for dinner and rest. Overnight and meals at Zebra Plains Mara Camp

Day 4: Explore Masai Mara

Masai Mara

Spend this day in Masai Mara with extensive morning and afternoon game drives to enjoy sight-seeing, bird watching, photography, wildlife spotting, follow the migration (July / October) and enjoy a walking safari with the rangers at the hippo pool. During the walking safari you can also see hippos and crocodiles at close range. Have picnic lunch and proceed with game drives until sunset. Overnight & meals at Zebra Plains Mara Camp

Day 5: Explore Masai Mara

Masai Mara

Spend another day in Masai Mara looking for the big five in the rolling grasslands and forested areas of the park. The river banks and lush forested bushes provide the best spots to see cats; elephants can be seen roaming in the open fields, warthogs can be seen running in the tall grass, giraffes can be spotted browsing on the trees and so much more. Picnic lunch is eaten in the wilderness. Overnight & meals at Zebra Plains Mara Camp

Day 6: Drive back to Nairobi

The last day of your safari is spent on a morning game drive in the park for a chance to see animals that you could have missed out on the previous days. After the morning game drive you will exit from the park and drive back to Nairobi arriving by evening. Upon arrival you are transferred to your most preferred location in the city. We can also arrange dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant on request.
