Safari summary
A 4 nights safari in Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Naivasha offers a unique and unforgettable experience to see Africa's most amazing wildlife close in their natural habitat. Masai Mara National Reserve is located in southwestern Kenya and it is famous for its annual wildebeest migration. The reserve is home to an incredible variety of animals, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and many more. The wildlife is so abundant that you are likely to see many animals within minutes of entering the park. The typical safari in Masai Mara National Reserve involves game drives in open-sided vehicles with experienced and knowledgeable guides. The vehicles are specially designed for optimal game viewing, with pop-up roofs that allow for unobstructed views and photography. During the game drives, you can observe the animals in their natural habitat, hunt and feed, play, and interact with each other. You can see herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains, lions and cheetahs stalking their prey, and elephants and giraffes grazing on trees.
In addition to game drives, you can also participate in other optional activities, such as hot air balloon safaris, cultural visits to a Maasai village. Hot air balloon safaris offer a unique perspective of the reserve from above while a visit to the Maasai Cultural Village will give you an opportunity to interact with the local Maasai people and learn about their traditions and way of life. You can also shop for souvenirs and handicrafts made by the Maasai people.
