Tarangire

Early morning departs from Arusha you will drive across a beautiful and scenic Masai Steppe to Makuyuni junction and take left along the Arusha to Dodoma Highway towards Tarangire National Park, a drive that will take two hours at most. Arrive at the Parks gate at Tarangire and after your driver has sorted out the paperwork you start game drives almost straight away from the gate in a bid to see as many animals and birds as possible. Your guide will take you to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast enjoys a full day game drive in the park. The area around the Seronera area has good resident games throughout the year. Non-migration animals such as elephants, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, and cheetah can be seen here all year round. The game viewing is very good and you can follow the game for long periods without seeing other vehicles – truly one of the forgotten corners of the Serengeti Plains. Magnificent riverine trees can be found along the river lines and bird species.

Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning, we start the game drive before heading to Ngorongoro. Ngorongoro conservation area is a special place in that it is a conservation area, not a National Park, this means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the Masai local people. During the drive-to Ngorongoro, we have the chance to glimpse something of the Masai way of life. You will later on in the afternoon your guide will take you to Arusha/ Moshi for overnight and preparation for departure.
